v1.04 broke the LNAV functionality of the aircraft. Josh from the team said in their Discord they are actively working out what is going on with it. This is what I meant by 1 fwd, 3 backward. Was working in 1.03, now broken in 1.04.

Alright I see what you mean now, and I agree with you, that's really a no-go for a released patch and shows insufficient testing.

I did a beautiful 3h 30min flight and had no problems at all with using V.1.0.4..

cheers 😉

I haven't tried it yet but what particular problem with LNAV? I used to now follow route even if I select direct to certain waypoint. Is it still a problem?

Guys must be lucky or bug hasn’t bitten yet. More and more users in their Discord are chiming in saying the LNAV function (using the NAV) function is broken. Aircraft won’t fly the route, using D-TO no longer works, etc…

I’m not sure if this is how the real aircraft behaves but the LNAV seems to start turning really early about 4nm from a waypoint, in tight arrivals STAR procedures, gets really messy. I also get the aircraft randomly stop following the route, even more so between the airways/waypoints and the end of a SID and start of a STAR.

Just did that to me too. I'm watching it just fly off on a 220 heading when my next fix is 284 bearing. FD isn't doing anything.

You know I want to like this airplane. I've flown it a lot. I'm getting very disappointed in the obvious and complete disregard for basic quality control from iniBuilds both in terms of aircraft and airports. This is really incredible. They must not have bothered testing this at all.

Basically what rick celik says above my post. It doesn't always happen, only on certain SIDs, but often enough that a lot of people have experienced it. And there's no remedy, people have to fly in HDG mode for the rest of the flight.

SIDs, not STARs

It doesn't just happen on STARs. I just took off out of KCID, tried to go direct to my first fix on about a 275 bearing from the field, it drew a perfect, straight line to the fix, and then turned me 40 degrees to the left.

oh yeah I think I recognize the problem! It actually happened to me while ago with one particular of SID!

Oh yes I actually meant SIDs, not STARs. So after departure, yes.

I'm 3/4 through a flight from KMEM to JFK, no issues yet.

I too for one am experiencing LNAV issues with V1.0.4 that I never had with 1.0.3.  Something broke in this build is my take. Also FWIW, I’m really trying to love this plane so I’ve been flying it almost exclusively since release.  Many of its failures are quite random; 2 out of three occurrences kind of issues.  Hard to trace and fix I’m sure.

They also broke Panel States in 1.0.4, as in choosing “Ready for Take Off” immediately dumps your fuel payload effectively making you immediately NOT Ready for Takeoff.

PS…if you reload your fuel and cargo IMMEDIATELY after choosing RFTO you can shoehorn the dumped fuel back before the prohibition banner appears (no loading with engines running)

Concur. After v1.03 they said the cargo light bleed into the cockpit was fixed. It wasn't and is still present. Not as bad in the cargo version but still bright in the pax version. When pointed out, the guy that tested it that works for ini got testy in Discord. I'm really thinking that while they say they have a big team, they are still stretched thin and have too many spinning plates as it were. I just hope they don't turn into Aerosoft 2.0.

Wow.  I asked on their discord about the fuel issue you mention.  Steve responded and said that you cannot load W&B with engines running.  But you were able to do that with the previous version?

Thanks!
