iniBuilds A300-600 has been released! (reopened)

Interesting for sure.  So many people say they love this airplane but to me it sounds like it's a flop.  It had bugs from the start and every time they fix those bugs, they really don't - the fix just breaks other things.  Don't think I'll be purchasing from ini.

Wow.  I asked on their discord about the fuel issue you mention.  Steve responded and said that you cannot load W&B with engines running.  But you were able to do that with the previous version?

Thanks!

No, that’s not what I said and NO you are not supposed to fuel an aircraft with engines running .

The issue here as I see it is now in V 1.0.4 when you choose RFTO, almost all of your loaded fuel is dumped, as in from 50,000 lbs to 5,000.  This is repeatable. This WAS NOT the behavior in previous versions. Use Case for RFTO is to allow you to “Load and Go” (load fuel and cargo in cold and dark, then RFTO to load FP and go, Go, GO) something you can no longer do in version 1.0.4 UNLESS you cheat and shoehorn your fuel load back in just as engines are spooling

YMMV. TANSTAAFL.

Definitely not a flop, as mentioned above, lots of fun. But it does have some more work to be perfect.

Personal opinion, Inibuilds even with their increased team size needs to slow it down a little… taking on too much I feel. However I have to say, given they haven’t been in the aircraft development game for too long compared to others, they are doing extremely well.

my flight completed without issue

Of course it did, that makes sense. You didn't try to go anywhere direct on the KMEM SID did you?

DTO appears to be breaking the LNAV, but it would work if you're on an RNAV track SID from the runway.

Hi Avsim! Steve from Ini here (Head of QA) While I can certainly understand the frustration with feeling like it's untested I can assure you that's not the case. We put a lot of time and passion into these projects and sometimes things slip by. This particular bug is worse than we initially thought and are working intensely to identify it and fully resolve it so it doesn't impact your enjoyment. The main issue we're up against is there isn't a steady pattern in when it fails. Earlier today I tried to reproduce it over 10 short segments of which only 3 failed. 70% success is still a poor margin for failure so we're combing through the code. I know that may be frustrating to hear since it's the weekend and you want to reliably operate the aircraft in the limited free time you may have but we don't want to keep you in the dark or think we're not doing or best to resolve it as quickly as we can. Thanks for your continued support and patience!

Possible that the Hold function also breaks the LNAV… just done flight from Istanbul to Kuwait and had to HDG the whole star after a hold while I made dinner 🤣

There is some DTO, LNAV, NAV bug ( but possibly not all people are affected ), they allready aware of this issue and if we lucky a hotfix is coming otherwise we get another update..

But anyway for me one of the best AC we have got, just on the same level as PMDG, Fenix and some more..

I still love to fly this bird and to say this issue did, until yet, not happen to me.. ( knock on wood )

And it seems and this is one of the best Part, the "Fall out of the Sky" issue is fixed now 👍

cheers 😉

Haha ok well I should’ve been more clear… I programmed a hold just before TOD, made and had dinner, came back, put the plane in exit hold and then LNAV was non existent.

See I always plan some extra amount of fuel just for this in simbreif 🤣. Simbreif really needs to add in an extra bar labeled “dinner” in the fuel planning section.
