It's basically a great aircraft that I would put in the category of PMDG, Fenix, FBW A320, ASOBO/WT 747-8 and 787-10 and similar. Inibuilds is working hard to identify this "Fall out of the Sky" error, which is probably the most critical in itself, the others are more minor defects with which you can still fly the aircraft. It was said that they will have fixed this FootS bug with update V.1.0.7 at the latest. At the moment we are at V.1.0.6. So we can only hope that it stays that way and doesn't last too long..

yes, its a beautiful plane, and I'm not giving up on this.  But it seems with every fix or update, they go 2 steps forward, but 3 steps back, and yes I do mention PMDG in my other posts, they have been around for 20 years, yes with many updates, but their planes fly beautifully., and they  get the job done!!!  

Finally, finally, it works,  this beautiful plane, and I am glad did not give up on it.

 Took a flight out tonight from KJFK to KMIA, almost a 3 hour flight. from KJFK 22l and to the new KMIA  new scenery 26L using sids and stars and the nav profile, everything worked from takeoff to especially landing. Just unbelievable.

As stated before it's a beautiful airplane and i really get an immersive experience from it. And never ever encountered that falling from the sky issue. 

I always think there is this phenomenon here on Avsim(basically every where on the internet) that you only read about a small portion the users that have an issue. A way larger portion that isn't encountering the reported issues is the silent majority and enjoy flying it.

So, if for mysterious reasons one of the few has FootS, and you are one of the lucky ones that can play it without problems, the majority wins. Cruel democracy applied to a commercial flight simulated airplane.

I might get it! Currently having too much fun getting reacquainted with the Fenix after 1yr absence. Me of course, not the Fenix 😅

Do more flights and longer ones and i'l bet you allso get this error at some time..

I've been sitting on the fence to purchase this aircraft based on some of these reviews. Three days ago, I purchased the latest version.

So far, I am really impressed with this add-on!

I've made 3 orientation flights (all less than 1-1/2 hours) to familiarize myself with the plane...and viewed a couple of A330 Driver's tutorial videos on YT for some of the unique details/tips/automation on this aircraft.

Yesterday, I made a long haul freight flight from EDDK-CYHZ (7+ hours) with no issues.

As I'm learning the ins/outs of this aircraft/sim, it's impressive to think how advanced (in terms of automation) this design was given it's an airframe that's been in service for 50 years. (Of course, I have a fondness for steam gauges, too!) The aircraft also hand-flies very well!

With the exception a some very minor bugs, so far this add-on has been a joy to fly! No regrets on this purchase.

My experience also.  Not to say the plane has not been falling from the sky because it has and is acknowledged by the developer, but…I love flying this plane!

Did you try using VS or did you go profile mode from start to finish?

Good question!

For me it was profile mode start to finish...also, no pausing of the sim and no time acceleration either.

The only problem I've had with the ini A300-600 is that SID out of KIND we were talking about earlier in this thread.  I had to manually HDG it to the start point in the SID, it wouldn't do a direct-to.  Other than that it's been flawless for me.

Yup....VS is resetting back to  0 fpm every 30-60 seconds.  I had to hangar it because I really don't use Profile mode much outside of the initial descent.  They are aware so hopefully another fix is issued soon for it.

This issue gets fixed with the upcoming V.1.0.7.

Hope for that FootS issue gets fixed aswell but seems like this one is hard to find and eliminate - unfortunately 🤪
