January 22, 20242 yr As someone said on the Aerosoft facebook page, could it be that Asobo bought the Aerosoft A330 to be included as a default aircraft in MSFS2024? Why not? Even if ASOBO would be smarter to reward the Headwind team.

Why not? Even if ASOBO would be smarter to reward the Headwind team. Because the development is a mess so far and Asobo does not want anything of that, let alone pay Aerosoft a hefty sum for a product whose quality is a big unknown. Also the announcement makes it pretty clear that this is not the case (engine variants, ceo + neo). For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

This license comes with some very strict provisions on inclusion in for-pay efforts, even as a free portion of a paid offering. This is why the FBW Neo had to be removed from the MS Marketplace. If there was a company MS would throw money at to make an airline, it would be INI; not Aerosoft.

January 22, 20242 yr There maybe a default A330-200 in 2024 if that aircraft in the air Ambulance part of the trailer wasn’t a static model. Edited January 22, 20242 yr by Tuskin38
January 22, 20242 yr Was watching A330Driver stream today and he said rumours are flightsim studio e-jets management have taken over the Aerosoft A330.
January 22, 20242 yr Interesting development. Fortunately for Aerosoft, their main competition for the A330 is the freeware Headwind project. They don't have a major competitor yet. But if they delay another two years, I can see iniBuilds getting interested in the A330, if iniBuilds releases their A350 and A380 within the next two years. What if the A330 in 2024 is ini? Similar systems to the A320 Edited January 22, 20242 yr by Tuskin38

While I’d love to be surprised by an imminent FSLabs A330 release I am 99% confidence that is not happening anytime soon so we’re probably stuck with this one as the likely first non-Neo A330 for the sim. I got the Twin Otter (great flights still) before it was removed from their store. After that I do recall Aerosoft mentioning there would be "more" on the Twin Otter within a few weeks. I did not see any follow up from Aerosoft after that. Is it still in the works? Best Regards, Vaughan Martell PP-ASEL KDTW
January 22, 20242 yr I can't say I'm surprised but also we never really did find out what the hell went on with the twin otter. We have zero evidence on the state of the FSLabs A330, I think it's very likely that they'll wait for MSFS 2024 as well. No one knows hence why I said what I did. Could be too late for FSLabs by then has well....
