Per Wikipedia “A special pilot license endorsement is required to land here.” The charts also indicate special requirements as well (including you must have landed there as a co pilot under direction of a qualified pilot before attempting it yourself). As the tradewinds are easterlies, TFFS certainly makes for an interesting landing. A helicopter or a Porter with a beta approach recommended. The nearby Terre-du-Bas strip looked strange to me, like it was made with wood planks or something. I did a search on wiki. The strip has actually been closed since 2014 and these are photovoltaic panels ! So you are are warned now ! I didn't realize there was a special requirement there, but as you mention it, it's not surprising. I did a flight into there yesterday, I wanted to see the airport (it's awesome), and it wasn't a landing, it was an arrival! 😁

This update got soooo many things right about my country and I am giddy with excitement! If so, is it the mandatory base update that kills all water masking around the world? Or is it the actual Carribean WU from the Marketplace? Can't check right now. If it's the base update then I'll have already lost the masks, as I've already installed it. But if it's the WU then I'll avoid installing yet 👍 It's the base update. As I tried uninstalling the WU and the masks didn't return.🙁 FS2020 Alienware Aurora R11 10th Gen Intel Core i7 10700F - Windows 11 Home 32GB Ram NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super OC 16GB - Pimax Crystal Light VR

It does disappear in the Bahamas Cuba Jamaica and possibly the Dom Rep. Outside the WU (but nearby) it also vanishes in the Florida keys and up the E coast. There’s loads of new watermasking in the Eastern part of the Caribbean. so it’s not a total deletion of it. I think it will get fixed soon though? Seems like lots on the official forums are commenting on it. Looks like Asobo needs a test team for World Updates. An oversight like this is inexcusable to say the least. How can you release a region and forget about it's key visual features?🧐 Edited January 31, 20242 yr by Dillon FS2020 Alienware Aurora R11 10th Gen Intel Core i7 10700F - Windows 11 Home 32GB Ram NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super OC 16GB - Pimax Crystal Light VR

How can you release a region and forget about it's key visual feature?🧐 If you look at a map of the Caribbean It’s almost exactly half the Caribbean split at Puerto Rico that’s lost the water masking I wonder if there’s 2 sections Caribbean E and W and something went wrong with Caribbean west. Still from PR east it all looks great. All the POIs and elevation and satellite data is there on both it’s just the watermasking missing.

January 31, 20242 yr Painfully slow download for me. January 31, 20242 yr I think I will check out each of the new Caribbean airports in my PMDG 737-600 over the next couple of days. Some of those Gaya Simulations hand crafted airports are really nice, with simple but effective terminal interior modelling (something that I would like to see as standard in Microsoft Flight Simulator airports).
