January 30, 20242 yr Truly the update I've been waiting for since the sim's release. The trailer really looked glorious and a lot of places got a lot of love. I'm super excited to hop around the islands. I am a bit saddened the Cayman Islands didn't receive more love as it's my hometown, but who knows there may be a second caribbean update in the future. None the less, super happy.

January 30, 20242 yr I vacationed in Aruba about ten years ago and visited the California lighthouse when I was there. As I often do, I came home and retraced my trip in whatever simulator I was using at the time (some version of P3D I’m sure). Of course when I flew over the lighthouse there was nothing there and the area didn’t look like what I remembered which was disappointing. Now it’s a POI and I can go visit that lighthouse and retrace my jeep trip around the island…moments like this are nice to pause and consider how far simming has come and how good MSFS is at letting you relive memories of places you’ve been. I used to do a lot of short hand flown shuttle flights between small Caribbean island airports in the 747, a totally ridiculous tool for the job, but incredibly good fun. 787 captain. Previously 24 years on 747-400.Technical advisor on PMDG 747 legacy versions QOTS 1 , FS9 and Aerowinx PS1.
