April 16, 20242 yr First flight EGKK/LEBL for me this morning with the last Fenix, it works very good and the fps perfomance is excellent, better than before (3080 + FG mod, 5900x). Waiting for more updated liveries, italian ones included. Missing the PMDG DC6 in MSFS 2024 (she's here, but...).

While it is obvious some posters can be annoying, it can show a lack of tolerance and a thin skin if you have to mute anybody. It also shows you just like living in an echo chamber without any opposing views. I find it is best to just read and then not reply. I really doesn't take much to do that, and even the most annoying of people can drop a pearl of wisdom occasionally. April 16, 20242 yr Doing 1st flight now after update. No issues so far...just out of Seattle. Seems very smooth. Don't particularly like the airline, but appreciate the artwork by @Jviation. Been flying N604NK a while around the USA doing its real schedule. Flown on this bird IRL a few times, even painted it in Skittles a few years back....when I was actually sitting in 23F on the actual plane. 🙂 Regards, Steve DraGet my paints for MSFS planes at flightsim.to here, and iFly 737s hereDownload my FSX, P3D paints at Avsim by clicking here
April 16, 20242 yr Will download this at the weekend. Does anyone (or is it just me) find handling gets extra sensitive when close to the ground only (particularly in roll axis). I’ve tried various settings incl the SDS and it’s always the same.
April 16, 20242 yr The value from Fenix is truly amazing. I paid FSL $100 for just the sharklets on the A320 and A321. Mark CYYZ

I agree. Oddly I liked flying/landing the initial release version more than any of the patches that came out to tweak the handling when on short final. 5800X3D, 4090FE, 64GB DDR4 3600C16, Gigabyte X570S MB, EVO 970 M.2's, Alienware 3821DW and 2 22" monitors, Corsair RM1000x PSU, 360MM MSI MEG, MFG Crosswind, T16000M Stick, Boeing TCA Yoke/Throttle, Skalarki MCDU and FCU, Logitech Radio Panel/Switch Panel, Spad.Next

Yeah I think we are all under the consensus that FSL will be laughed out of the MSFS market if they want to hold on to their old P3d pricing structure. The $49 I paid for the Fenix on day one is probably one of the best Flightsim purchases I've ever made. Will gladly hand over the price they ask for the 319/321....getting the major majority of the A320 series for way less I think FSL may charge for the equivalent content, if they ever bring the A320 to the MSFS market (which even if they do, I think its years out at minimum) Regards, Steve DraGet my paints for MSFS planes at flightsim.to here, and iFly 737s hereDownload my FSX, P3D paints at Avsim by clicking here
April 16, 20242 yr Regarding the problem of the Fenix screens, you can see in the attached images that in daylight if I use the sunshade, the screens become magically clearer and readable. But without sunshade the screens are dull: this is normal in daytime backlight condition, and FS20 and Fenix reflect both the reality in this way. I don't know what happens to the real A320 in the same light condition, but I see that it happens the same thing when driving my car, the screens appear dull in some backlight condition, because the not only the sun, but the sky is much more brighter than any sophisticated screen, and here we have a sort of dated and old technology screens. P.S.: taking the screenshots I pushed down the gear lever inadvertently, so the rest of my flight was f....d off. Missing the PMDG DC6 in MSFS 2024 (she's here, but...).

April 16, 20242 yr I've only done one flight since the update, London to Manchester. Nice performance (but already had that). No issues, including GSX integration. Have they done any changes to ground effect and ground friction modelling? It seems they are working on it currently. Quote In the nearer term, we’re closely monitoring community feedback, currently specific to some complaints with flare and ground effect phases - at this stage we feel we’re quite close, so we won’t be making any larger changes in this area to keep the behaviour relatively consistent, however we’ve identified some areas we can make gentle adjustments to - specifically with ground effect modelling. At this juncture we’re reasonably happy with the lift/cushion effect of the ground effect, but feel like the drag additive could be slightly increased. This, in theory, will help the aircraft “settle” on the runway a touch better. Currently within MSFS, the lift and drag of ground effect are intrinsically tied to one another, but we are currently developing and prototyping a solution to this, which will enable us to achieve more granular control over the drag properties when in ground effect. The other area we’re focusing on are complaints of difficulty controlling the aircraft when on ground, during rollout or takeoff specifically. We are currently re-tuning the ground friction modelling in line with the incoming SU15 and its new ground friction modelling, and believe this will be a step in the right direction. Our aim is to deploy both of these to you as soon as possible, so rest assured neither of these improvements will be waiting on the expansion before landing in your hands. Also, as a small contribution to the screen brightness discussion, it just occurred to me that I've been using the sun shades extensively. Without this, the PFD can be quite hard to read on sunny days. 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 64GB DDR5

However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

Yes it’s only on takeoff and landing however I’m not close to stalling. Flying at calculated speeds on final approach etc. and actually, IRL the opposite would be the case near the stall (aircraft will become less sensitive!). Ian
