Why in the world? Couldn‘t they find something more important to apply their great skills on?

For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

I know, but it's a UK airport, which means I will still buy it.

That looks rather nice - with Thunderbird 3 to boot! I haven't bought anything by Fly Tampa for years ( I think Hong Kong for FSX was the last item ) so this is going on the shopping list.

Surely not everybody was kung fu fighting.

To finish the exotic trilogy; Corfu, Las Vegas, .......and Humberside.....

i910900k, RTX 3090, 32GB DDR4 RAM, AW3423DW, Ruddy girt big mug of Yorkshire Tea

This gives you a nice opportunity for your ATR and E170/90 flights with Eastern Airlines. Very happy with this, and cheap.

Rob Jones.

And purchased.

AMD Ryzen 7 5800x3d, MSI X570 Pro, 32 gb DDR4 3600 ram, Gigabyte 6800 16gb GPU, 1x 2tb Samsung  NvMe , 1x 2tb Sabrent NvME, 1x Crucial 4tb Nvme M2 Drive

Thank you Fly Tampa...day 1 purchase for me...

I wished Flytampa was going to do some smaller airports also. But this is a big surprise! but...... not my kind of airport for my flying type, as the E190 is not jet a finished product, otherwise I would be hopping daily EHAM - EGNJ - EHAM.

I can understand that being undercut by MKStudios on Montreal left some painfull scars. At least on this scenery, low chances to be undercut.

It might be a good addition for UK simmers but I doubt it will have a lot of success outside UK. I love FlyTampa and this is no doubt a very nice scenery but this is a small airport and I wouldn't use it so even at this very low price, it would be a waste of money for me.

This might become a real problem for FT:  MSFS has become a shark tank; they are very talented but their team is so small, that big projects  takes so long. they take the risk to be undercut on any big project now by mkstudios or Inibuilds that release sceneries like hot cakes. Of course, their sceneriess are not as good but they fill the need for most simmers.

Mir and Flightbeam are also on the same boat but at least Mir is better at communicating: everybody knows that he is working on KSFO and he hasn't been undercut yet. On the other hand, Fly Tampa often lacks communication. They should be more vocal and release updates more frequently to really show that they are working on some airports.

I don't see any problems with them doing airports like this - Normally these places can be left unloved and only the major international airports are done.

Sure they don't get many airliner ops but I will certainly pick it up to fly GA or business jets into for sure.

I fly GA and small airliners the most so I love it that the smaller fields get some attention. Also, since the area is smaller more attention can be paid to details to all buildings. On large airports often the "GA corner", freight area etc. are neglected and sometimes downright ugly.

Animated people and stuff also takes less of a fps hit on these smaller airports so the immersion factor can go up.

Humberside sees a lot of helicopter traffic since it serves several oil and gas platforms in the North Sea. And in 2013 a passenger landed a Cessna 172 there when the pilot had died during the flight.,

FlyTampa's communication is virtually non-existent. They had KATL on their destinations map for 2 years and never said a single word about it other than it was canceled after the dot on the map suddenly disappeared and a bunch of people started getting irritated on their forums by the lack of answers to questions that piled up for 2 years. They're excellent at what they do and I understand they are doing this part-time with a small team, but I don't get why they can't at least drop a one liner every now and then.

As for Flightbeam, I'll be buying KSFO the millisecond it's out and it'll probably be the best scenery we've ever had. But I'm starting to question if we really need this level of detail, at least when it's developed by a small team or even just one person, if it means it will be in development for 3 years. It's been delayed again for almost half a year by now. I don't think many even notice all the detail that's in there, I certainly don't.

Never heard of this airport but since FlyTampa’s stuff is consistently top-notch I’ll probably buy it.

i9-11900K, RTX 4090, 32 GB ram, Honeycomb Alpha and Bravo, TCA Airbus sidestick and quadrant, Reverb G2

Maybe the FlyTampa team are Thunderbirds fans?
