BMWorld KSFO Released...

I will likely wait till FB releases but this is totally not fair to BMW.  I have lots of their airports.  All of them are very well done, they may not be FT of FB but those devs take years to release 1 airport.  While I'm happy to support FT and FB when they make releases that's just not a feasible timeline anymore.  I will gladly take a well done but not over the top airport that takes 3 months.  The world is a big place. the more non-default airports the better.  I'm happy not every company takes 2 years to complete one project.

I strongly disagree that I'm being "totally unfair" to BMWorld. This is not $5 or $10 bargain bin scenery which one expects to be relatively simplistic but better than nothing. This scenery is $23 USD and by comparison top notch sceneries from FlyTampa Amsterdam is $21, Flight Beam KMSP is $19.00, FSDreamTeam O'Hare is $20,00. So IF you're going to price your scenery at ABOVE premium scenery then I expect a good effort. I don't expect to have it crash GSX immediately upon loading. I don't expect it to not even have any parallax views into the windows but rather blacked out windows. I don't expect it to have terminal textures that are actually WORSE than the default ones. Granted the Jetways, and ground textures, are nicer - I'll give them that.

So your argument that the world needs simple sceneries doesn't hold water. This is not a "well done" scenery - it's an OK scenery at a premium price that really adds very little over the Asobo one.

Hi there!. Yea I definitely overshot deadlines for SFO. There are many reasons, a few personal, a few surprises.. but I've gotten used to complaints about development time. I've been in business for 1

  • It will be good but Amir taking years to do it is no longer workable in this environment.

But I haven't bought their KSFO and mentioned I was waiting for FB so I can't speak for it, their other sceneries have been fine and dont have the problems mentioned.  Pretty sure as other people have mentioned they were very upset with FB KMSP release and decided to try and one up them.  But I'm more speaking in general about the business model.  We need more developers who are quicker than FT or FB and produce a reasonable looking product and bashing them because its not perfect isn't the way forward.

this dev is like  fast food of  scenery fast develped scenery with terrible optimization  decent looking 23$ in long term if fight beam and fly tampa are smart devs and know people buy things like this why waste time in optimize the models just do a fast scenery and fast money  .  and there a middle way to do things in fast and optimize way like ini build or mk studios etc

BMWorld produces beautiful sets but as always it remains very basic, it is not very detailed but it remains suitable with a small price.
Personally I expect that of FB.

For those who don't like going on FB:

"Competition is great! It highlights the massive effort that goes into Flightbeam products even more. As we enter beta next week as scheduled, I am *greatly* looking forward to direct comparisons with our competing product in June. As a customer, you make your choice. Nothing in our schedule changes, no shortcuts taken.. and no "under construction" signs 🙂"

I am also waiting for FB (I have all their scenery including P3D.  But I also think it is wrong to bash BMI.  I choose not to purchase it and wait.  For those that are having problems, I also would be frustrated not that I bought it (Choice I made), but is did not live up to the hype.  I come here to get reviews.  I do appreciate those that post the reviews.  I might feel differently if everyone says Wow about this scenery, that does not seem the case.  I own several of BMI scenery but choose to do so after I read reviews.

Small price? 23 dollars?

I'm just curious why BMWorld wouldn't take care of ATL/DFW? THey would have become rich!

Well I honestly think SFO was purely to get back at FB for MSP.   But I wouldn't be surprised to see one or both of those soon.  What I will say about BMW is they seem to know what they are doing from an airport selection process.  Only issue is they usually arnt the most optimized so DFW and ATL could give them some trouble.

I actually like BMW. They (He, Aleksey?) did a lot of good stuff at a remarkably good price initially, and has always been extremely responsive to issues raised in the past. I have pretty much all their stuff, and don't regret buying any of it. Not sure about this one though, a lot of it looks good but some of the buildings do indeed look a bit half-done, so I'll probably wait and see if FB do actually manage to release soon.

As with everything else sim related - if you don't like the look of it don't buy it.

Ryzen 9 7900X, Corsair H150 AIO cooler, 64 Gb DDR5, Asus X670E Hero m/b, 3090ti, 13Tb NVMe, 8Tb SSD, 16Tb HD, 55" Philips 4k HDR monitor, EVGA 1600w ps, all in Corsair 7000D airflow case. Sims in use - 2020, 2024, XP-12 and -11, FSX/SE, P3Dv4.5 and v5.4. DCS and AFS2 installed but rarely used

They will as soon as someone else announces it.

don't forget Newark Kewr from Drzewiecki, that performance is the worst....

Absolutely true.  There's nothing you can do, no setting you can lower, no add-on you can turn off that makes KEWR flyable...

There's already a mediocre ATL made by ImagineSim. I don't think we need two.

Verticalsim dev stated in his Discord channel like a month or two ago that there is someone doing KATL. Would not say who.

I’d be real surprised if it was anyone but iniBuilds, maybe MK
