It was mentioned a couple Q&As ago there would be a bunch of WU fixes at launch. I don’t remember any details.

Which is again rather strange approach by Asobo, no? I know they tend to think their customers are stupid horns, but still some patch notes would be nice...

Greetings, Chris

Well, if you would have read what we were asking for, you would not have provided this link. Or please point me to the point where it is written what was updated in all those WU packages I downloaded after the installation of SU15 from the content manager? It was about 16GB (or even more) of updates not mentioned with a single word in the change log you linked...

Just go to the official forums and read the bug reports, there's plenty reading there.

Do you really think something is wrong if such a complex application has logged a larger number of bugs at any time?

E.g. An established and stable platform like Google Chromium has more than 400 open bugs right now, so why do you think MSFS is worse than average? Besides that many instruments in MSFS are browsers too, the sim has vastly more and more complex functionalities.

Not sure what you're getting at, we were talking about regressions - that is new bugs that appear during a SU and still awaiting a fix - of which there are many. Again the official forums bug section has them clearly on view for all to see, some of them basic mouse/UI issues so no more complex than anything else.

Regressions are a considerable part of the large number of open bugs in any large software. There is no sign, that MSFS is below average in that regard. I have quickly double checked the official forums, and the percentage of obvious regressions is small. So I am not sure what you're getting at?

I'm getting at the fact there's regressions that unfortunately have remained unfixed for years, at the end of the day this is a computer game and it's pretty standard to fix things you break during active development.

There probably won't be many other computer games as complex as MSFS. It has so many layers. It basically is a platform that enables third parties to extend the overall functionality in nearly every dimension. So it is a very complex piece of software for which it is absolutely expected, that many bugs exist at any time, both regression and new ones, many even for a long time and some will remain unsolved. You can rest assured, that bugs are all the time prioritized at Asobo/MS, which is an extremely challenging task that considers many variables like affected user count, fix complexity, risk of damaging further stuff, release planing an so on. Maybe it just happened to be, that fixing the few bugs that annoyed you the most would cost 10x the effort of fixing 100 other bugs, so they did not make the cut. Things like that happen every single day when you manage and organize a software dev project as large as MSFS is.

So...I just had another 635ish MB update (Steam version), and the sim is just starting up...the Dune stuff is gone, but the window-resizing is back...

Best regards, Dimitrios

I did, and what I see is a good many are opinions about something, many might be one-off issues relative to old installations, or software/hardware issues, or coming out of a beta and having an issue or what have you.  I experience a grand total of one actual 'bug', and I define a bug as something happening that isn't supposed to happen, and that is with 1000's of hours of use.  Bugs are one thing, desired features and perfection are another.  This is why my cup remains 80% full, w/ the remaining 20% having to do w/ weather/cloud depiction which needs improvement for certain, but that is not a 'bug'. it's a feature improvement issue.

Today I started the sim now for the third time and it continues to show me two or three content manager updates. The last being Nordics - Points of interest. Why cant it just show me all available updates at once?

sigh, just because you don't see them it doesn't mean they don't exist 🙄 there are plenty of bugs, regressions and issues, some of us see them more than others, simple as that.
