I downloaded su15 without doing anything and it was fine. Everything I had before , I have now.. i just did a flight in the duke from YMMB-YMLT and it was brilliant. The full moon we have here is.in full swing also.

Testing the PMDG DC6 after the WT 430/530 update, it seems working good with GPS and ILS landings.

I just did a lap around the pattern in the 172 with a direct 15 knot crosswind from the left (the maximum demonstrated crosswind). It was perfectly controllable -- certainly required quite a bit of right rudder, but you'd expect that at the maximum demonstrated crosswind.

No problem with the download or installation. No appreciable increase in performance, either. Oh well, at least it's running nicely, as before.

His lack of easy fluency in English may be part of the reason he does do well in the Q&As. Not so much “arrogance” but discomfort at having to discuss technical topics in a language that he struggles with.

No. What usually happens is the installer has lost the link to where your community is actually located and tries to install it in the default location. Your old community folder and all its content is still there, but the installer has created a new one.

When I first installed MSFS I dedicated a stand-alone SSD drive to it. I created a single folder D:\MSFS, and told it to put the Community and One Store there.

When doing an update, I look at the place where the installer intends to put the files before pushing the “Update” button. This is your one chance to insure the files go to the correct location. Usually the installer shows the correct “D:\MSFS”, but occasionally it wants to update to the default location. It is at this point you have the opportunity to select the correct drive/folder before pushing “update”

Yeah, thankfully I had to re-link everything and download about half of everything else. No bigs.

Is it needed to leave the beta manually? I joined the beta right before su15 dropped in order to avoid the chaos when all are trying to download. 
After the release of Su15 I’m able to see all other players. If I remember correctly in the past there where betas where you don’t have to do anything after final release

You are correct. Nothing more is needed now that the final has dropped.  Enjoy SU 15 for it is quite the nice piece of kit!

I wonder if we can find a way of doing it ourselves.  It is just editing config files apparently.
There must be some info in the SDK if third parties are modifying their own aircraft.
I am hoping some kind soul can find their way around what to do, and start dropping the config files up on FS.to. 

What was key was that Asobo focused on the core sim platform and FDE improvements to ground handling. And yes they've only updated a couple of aircraft, and perhaps Working Title can similarly add the new ground handling to the FMs of other aircraft they've enhanced before.

It's not just a matter of adding some enablement of switches in the FM config but placing the right values for the new FM parameters which are specific and fitting to each aircraft (so trial and error and multiple passes + testing is likely involved). This is why it's best done by the aircraft devs who're the experts and know most about the particular aricraft they develop, and in the default fleet's case I think Asobo are not particular experts on each of the aircraft types except for the Cessna & Cabri likely. So if anything Working Title can hopefully add the new ground handling to the default aircraft they know most about, like they did with SR22T in SU15.
