Hi all,

 I see the rating on the Marketplace isn’t that great but it has been updated in the beginning of the year. 
 

How is it in its current form? 

Sometimes everything works - sometimes not. Its not predictable, at least for me. 😅

It's a plane I really wanted to like but I just can't, imo if fails to deliver an immersive experience. If I want to fly a more regional sized airliner, both the Just Flight Fokker and Bae-146 are so much more satisfying than the ATR, great flight models, great sounds, nice immersive touches given you a real feel of being inside the cockpit and/or cabin.  

Of course the ATR is cheap and you can certainly argue you are getting your money's worth, personally I certainly want more than what the ATR offers and wiling to pay for the products that do so, doing some research is always essential when it comes to addons but if you buy from a reputable developer you generally get what you pay for.

I picked it up on sale a few months ago and I was actually pleasantly surprised. Its no Majestic Dash 8, but its not bad. There's a few small bugs here and there, but nothing game breaking. Now with the release of FS2Crew for it, It makes a great little regional airliner. 

I love it! Great airplane and it works for my needs. I would recommend it especially that there are supposed to be more updates coming. 

I got it after a trip to French Polynesia so I could re-create my island hopper flights from Air Tahiti.  Normally I'm a study level only flyer (PMDG, FENIX, Majestic, FSLabs etc.).  For the price I was pleasantly surprised, didn't 100% know what to expect, there were sometimes where I felt like the airplane behaved weirdly. I was frustrated there wasn't any sort of documentation on how to actually fly it after purchase, had to watch a few youtube videos.   Now that FS2Crew is releasing for it I might go back in to do some more flights.  For me it felt real enough in re-creating the flights I flew in RL.

Yeah I binned it after a couple of flights, the bugs were too much for me, especially trying to get it to work with the throttle quadrant. Pity as I would like to use it more.

It’s a fun little plane once you properly learn to fly it.

Plane had a rough start but now is pretty much buttoned up. I find myself flying it often.  The best part about the ATR-42/72 is Magnar, your very own ATR Captain, instructor and Internet Star!

one of the best aircrafts in the sim for me cause combine  a decent detail aircraft with best performance  you can fly this aircraft  to the heaviest performance airport with ai traffic and you still get nice fps 

I actually really like this plane. I picked it up because I wanted to recreate all the Porter flights out of Toronto City airport, which use Dash-8’s, but — close enough. For the price, I think it’s spot on.

For me, it's a pleasure to fly. There are some things, but most of the time, when there's a problem, it's usually my fault because I forgot something or similar...

A fantastic value for the price. It had some bad bugs, especially the infuriating idle throttle one but those have been sorted out now and it flies and behaves beautifully. The only thing I need fixed like yesterday is the landing gear doing weird thing when parked.

We even use him when getting familiar with the plane on the type rating course.
