I'm not going to spoil something I have in the works, but to quote an Airbus captain: if you try to pilot the A321 like you do with the A320, it won't go well... 😃
August 7, 20241 yr Having the whole FSL A32X series i can tell there is differents in handling. Reading the FSL dokumentation and after experience is a joy. Will get this also . Michael Moe Michael Moe

Looking forward to learning the different “personalities” of each variant. Regards, Joe Esposito

Will get this also Yes, same here. In the times of P3D I enjoyed very much having all three variants from A319 to A321. It always took me a few flights to get a feel for the other variant again. They are all handled quite differently. The A321 in particular is not so easy to decelerate on approach as the A320 so you have to plan your descent well. Flaps speeds are different and the final approach speed can be significantly higher than with the A320. The A321 is much more prone to tailstrikes. And in the climb it feels rather underpowered. The A319 on the other end feels quite sporty. So there's good reason to fly all of them.
August 7, 20241 yr The A319 vs. A321 CEO versions taking off from 31L at JFK: A319 - reaches cruise altitude passing over the Hudson River. A321 - reaches cruise altitude by Cleveland. Eric
August 7, 20241 yr I hope eventually we get a Fenix NEO package. Like the MAX the NEO is growing rapidly and these days it's a 50/50 chance if you see a A320 Series it's a NEO version. I think it was discussed before that so far data on the NEO's is locked up making it difficult. Hopefully that changes at some point. Love to fly an A321 XLR across the pond. I think once they are delivered it will become the standard narrow body on longer flights!

I would really love an a321NEO/LR/XLR as they are going to become very very popular in the US in the next few years. Absolutely right, plus it's fun planning and carrying out full flights in the 321 when you have to play close attention to performance and underload. The A319 on the other hand allows you to go into fun places like Florence, Antwerp or San Sebastian... LPMA
August 8, 20241 yr Indeed , try a full approach and takeoff to/from SEQM in the 321. Really fun and a little bit scary to say. Michael Moe Michael Moe
