Please be aware todays (1 Oct 24) update can cause crashes

msfs told me to login again before it would star. and asked me to reset my accessibility settings. And to "press any button to continue" (they really want a keypress, not a button). The update was more than just navdata. Upgrades to a default airports file, A310, and Pilatus PC too.

We’re aware of user reports of sim crashes on PC experienced by Navigraph users following the installation of Aircraft & Avionics Update 3.

While all teams involved investigate, a user-submitted workaround is available by disabling the AIRAC Cycle 2409 rev.1 package within the Navigraph Hub app.

All accessibility options reset. The sim froze on my first trial to do a flight. A mess.

Is this confirmed?

No. They're just being conspiratorial.

Is this just fixed yet?

Haven't updated or launched the sim, would rather just wait until the fix is in.

Just remove the Navigraph AIRAC data via the Navigraph hub as above ^

You can still use the sim just as well without it.

No routes show up in the Garmins now.😶

I didn't have any problems loading the sim, so I didn't remove the Navigraph base package, so I didn't think this would affect me.

Wrong!

A little over an hour into a flight with the PMDG 777, I stepped away from the computer to finish up some laundry. When I came back, the sim had crashed to desktop.

Well played, ASOBO, well played...

I didn't remove all of the Navigraph files.  I removed the navdata and navdata-base folders, but left the avionics-g3x, g1000 and g3000-g5000 folders in.  All routes and plates show.

My problem with CTD was sound. In addition to setting accessibility all to easy, it reset all my msfs sound option settings. It had switched to using an unreliable sound driver. I reset it back to my normal sound driver and the sim was completely stable again.

Same here.  CTD.  Removed the Navigraph folder and now it loads.  AVSIM is always very helpful.

Well, I’m thankful to the person that noticed this bug. The sim crashed 3 times before I coincidentally discovered on the FSHud discord that the solution was to remove the Navigraph folders out of community.

Turns out that was totally unnecessary.  Just disable the Sept navdata for the time being.  Easy peasee.  No over reaction here. Just some patience and paying attention to posts from credible sources.  Very nice flight just completed.  No CTD.
