Here we are, at the cusp of MSFS 2024's release with a lot of us excited for what the future brings. I just wanted to thank you all who frequent this place.

Thank you for the dedication, the passion and despite every community having its detractors; thank you for the energy and positivity. Always a joy to come here to read the latest news and updates that people are quick to post. To the people who are incredibly helpful, the guys who spends time making a handy YouTube video to explain something, the guys that are always there to spread some love and some likes on content, the people who are quick to share information, screenshots and early reviews of newly released addons, all the developers and just everyone who makes this a place you want to check out daily. 

Looking forward to seeing where the next many years takes us and flight simulation.

Avsim is the only forum I use.

A huge thanks from me too.  Whilst I like to provide comment and advice where I feel I can, the guys on this forum have also been such a great help to me throughout MSFS and previous iterations of the sim.  Along with the freeware designers and video creators, you are all the best.

Let's all keep up the good work as we begin to migrate to MSFS2024.

Happy Sim-mas to one and all !

I have had a blast the past 4yrs, looking forward to another 4yrs at least. apart from the little spat's now and again, we all have a great love for everything aviation...

We're like almost any family really: a bunch of people with something that binds us together, but which causes the odd squabble. Sometimes we have makeup... err... posts after a disagreement, sometimes we never speak again! There's the odd black sheep in the family (who insists on still using A. N. Other sim😉), but we either tolerate or ignore them (unless they bug us too much🤪). But, for the most part, we get along pretty well.

I hope that my contributions to the forum have been largely popular, helpful (and humorous where they were intended to be) , and I equally appreciate the positive contributions others have made to make my MSFS experience better.

Until such time as I buy 2024, I'll probably be a bit miffed at my family members going on and on about their latest purchase, but I'll keep up with the Jones's in time. 😊

We are indeed a family. We love the sim, we fight over it 😜. I’ve been here on Avsim since 1998, loved it from day one!

Here we still have the right to opinion, integration and knowledge in what we enjoy most, flying.

Learned a LOT reading these forums. Getting into airliner operations has been trying lol. Good group of folks around here. 

Ditto and Love to All, even the negative bunch of ya. Variety is the spice of life and if speech is to be free all speech must be heard and considered at least once.  After that, even if you don’t consider it a valid opinion it still should remain in the marketplace of ideas, not squelched or worse.

All of this is mindful of the fact my statement above is mindful of the fact that a public forum must be, by its very nature, controlled.  That is why Avsim has such excellent moderators and moderation. Nuff said. Peace Out ☮️.

That being said, these are very thoughtful words. Although I will not be partaking in the kerfuffle of launch day/time, I wish everyone the most fun time possible. I will be watching from the sidelines for the good and the bad so I dont overtly screwup installing any addons I currently have.
