Got in once only to find out no new aircraft available? and despite paying for PD, i only have Standard, jeez what a cluster ****, checked PC Xbox App, and it only shows Standard as available, and i can upgrade to get the other two lol. Even stranger on Xbox X the whole package is available as it should be. 

Can you imagine the meeting where someone said 'I have a cunning plan, how about, we try to sell back the same game?'

I'm reading a lot about a downgrade and same silly bugs found in MSFS 2020. Not a chance I'm buying this anytime soon which means i won't need to upgrade my PC either.

how to get controllers to work? fine in 2020 broken in 2024!

This hasn't been what i was expecting at all. This weird "initialization" where you are outside the plane (and i can't get inside in a lot of models), the fact that the copilot avatar cannot be removed (apparently), the extremely confusing aircraft selection menu, the extra-complicated way to select time of day which was so nice in MSFS... They took a course on how to complicate things. From FS9 to FSX to P3D the move was so straightforward, same way to interact...

Having to re-learn everything again and again every single release sounds really bad. Also, no way to export control settings from MSFS to MSFS2024 <-- this is something that was definitely worth the time instead of investing in odd features such the one where you appear in the walk-around and cannot exit unless you click some spot in a "MSFS2024 plane".

Please tell me there is a way to go straight into the cockpit and make that default for every single plane... *sigh*

So imagine there is a festival, they sell loads of tickets and take the money and when you turn up there is a que..... welcome to Glastonbury... But then they just close the gates. Your stood there waiting and waiting, then you hear some music starting and so far your still outside in a massive que. 4 hours later bands have been on and your still waiting but now being told due to unprecedented demand you will have to wait to get in....

You would not stand for that would you, and then some in the que saying 'well stop being entitled what did you expect'....

 

Don't sell that many tickets if you can't cope with it.......... basically.

A shower of epic scale even in the context of gaming industry....... an embarrassment.

Day two and still in the 97% club. Booted the PC up at 0630 utc and still waiting nearly three hours later. My positivity is fraying. 
edit: repaired installation in the Xbox app and I’m in within minutes. Cool, now we’ll see if it plays nice.

I can get to the initial setup menu (eventually) but I'm stuck at the Customize Character splash screen which looks to be the new bottleneck.

Stuck on "Customize Identity" screen....................killed sim restarted same again.....

I can subscribe to all of that, except the GPS screens are totally over exposed, way too bright. text is therefore hard to impossible to read. I expect we'll see an update from workingtitle very soon, or is there a way to adjust/reduce thei GPS brightness?

I got up this morning and gave it another go, two restarts and GP app update - but I'm in. Can't click to remove 172 chocks though - doh

Streaming is still currently broken despite people finally getting in.   Streaming affects things like ground textures, to model textures etc.

exactly what I thought, I therefore switched to flying in the early evening/morning hours.

Unreadable vc radio /gps screens has been an issue all last week in the dev forums. Using same settings as 2020 devs have complained they were too dark in 2024. As in so dark thru looked turned off. So maybe there's been some last minute over compensation until the issue is fixed properly?

Reboot and restart the client. I had that about half an hour ago, had been stuck on that screen for over an hour, and restarted the client and it went straight through the 2nd time, no issues.
