After being entertained for 3 hours earlier, I closed it down and then started it up again right now. It took exactly 3 minutes and 30 seconds. No problems at all right now. They might come back when Europeans wake up again in the morning, Thanksgiving off work in America is approaching, and maybe the servers overload again.

5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB  PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. Crystal Light VR.

Honestly after watching some streams, I fail to see how is it different from MSFS2020, in fact, I wouldn't be able to tell if this is 2020 or 2024. I don't know, I feel I would just stick with 2020 for now until next year probably when everything settles down 🤷

Not me. MSFS2020 is a sim of the past for me. I don't care if I can't fly today or for a few more days or even weeks because MSFS2024 has too many great exciting features which makes it way more interesting for me. I have lost all interest in MSFS2020.

There is more to life than flight simming and I really don't understand the hysteria of most simmers. This all was to be expected. I pity the entitled I WANT IT NOW generation.

You pity a generation who want a game they purchased on the day they said they could have it? That isn't entitled.

All this MSFS 2020 is a sim of the past, you you purchased it again but with 24 on the end.... THAT is an entitled generation getting their pants pulled down by corporations...

Every gameplay stream i'm just like 'this is MSFS 2020' even saw a stream where they guy had given up loading 24 and was playing 2020 and i was watching like 'wow this is actually really good' and it WAS MSFS 2020.....

Why in Gods name would i spend 60 quid on the same game? Untill something can convince me otherwise i'm sticking with 2020 any anyone saying it looks so much better is simply just making it up to validate their choices...

I've seen some weirdness too -- not with the A330 but with other aircraft. Some of the gauge textures on the Twin Otter were super-blurry, and there seemed to be textures missing from the A400M cockpit too. I'm assuming this is _probably_ a server issue?

Hilarious.  Xbox app says Ive played the game 2.9 hours and yet I cant get past the VFS activating 13% part without a CTD.   Never even seen the home screen yet.  Anyone else fix CTD just from loading VFS?

In several articles Asobo said that MFS2020 will get new ground imagery and elevation mesh which MFS2024 will use when it is out. I'm checking many locations and so far no new imagery or mesh at all. Just another BS after a disastrous launch. Will not upgrade to 2024 until promises fulfilled.

Indeed MSFS 2020 was on a 10 year cycle was it not? We are 4 years in, judging by people realising the obvious, that this is MSFS 2020 really, maybe they will quietly destroy MSFS 2020 to get people to shift over....

Now has anyone managed to get the frame gen mod working for those without a 40 series card?

I'm a massive 2020 fan, of course areas were poor, but the fact those areas still exist is what is bad here..... same places that are impressive are the same impresive areas in 2020.....

And look at that objective.... really? I can do that in MSFS 2020 if i wanted to pretend to be a photographer.... i just don't need a game to hold my hand to let me think of it...
