The bottom line is we need xbox sales for the longevity of this game I'm afraid. I was one of those who had a really bad feeling with regards to the infrastructure required to meet the demands - and my worse fears have been realised. Things will get better, but we will always have issues over this lifespan of 2024 imo - I'm basing that on the ongoing outages in 2020 which have never been fully resolved - due to backend issues. its a shame but we are where we are now. If you listen to Asobo the infrastructure is there. They badly (that's my word) underestimated the cache requirements and had to modify this as became quite evident at the outset and adjust several other parameters based on their estimates of capacity. November 20, 20241 yr I'm sure the tall heads at Microsoft didn't appreciate ASOBO bringing heat to Azure because of ASOBO'$ poor projections as to capacity unrelated to the infrastructure which is quite capable of sustaining MSFS 2024 many times over. This is why they had to give that video several hours ago explaining what happened. Ryzen 7 5800x, 64gb, 7900XTX 24gb

It is up to MS to do the marketing and get an idea of how many users will be there on day one. 5800X3D. 32 GB RAM. 1TB SATA SSD. 3TB HDD. RX 9070XT.

Jorg was the one apologizing and he is the one who said they underestimated the traffic. You can see him nodding his head enthusiastically when Seb mentions them doing a 200000 user load test on the server cache. Jorg represents Microsoft Game Studios. Anything that costs money goes through him and ultimately Phil Spencer. 5800X3D. 32 GB RAM. 1TB SATA SSD. 3TB HDD. RX 9070XT.

Sounds like you either ran into some ongoing server issues preventing content to download. Or you chose the career mode, limiting the airports to small ones. I've been stuck loading a flight in 2020 for the first time in over a year it normally times 5 seconds to load into the 737.
