It will shift more consoles for sure, many who didn't get MSFS 2020 on XBOX will by a percentage be new customers and blown away by it all. I was of an opinion that if i didn't own MSFS 2020 I'd get 24... now i reckon i'd start with MSFS 2020.

A lot of the PG on streams is looking total gash compared to mine in MSFS 2020.

 

I'm convinced the decision to go for streaming rather than downloading was Xbox led for sure. The bottom line is we need xbox sales for the longevity of this game I'm afraid.

I was one of those who had a really bad feeling with regards to the infrastructure required to meet the demands - and my worse fears have been realised. Things will get better, but we will always have issues over this lifespan of 2024 imo - I'm basing that on the ongoing outages in 2020 which have never been fully resolved - due to backend issues. 

 

its a shame but we are where we are now. 

Used a VPN and connected to a server in the US and was able to actually load in the world. Currently doing a flight in the Longitude to see how it goes!

So after 3 hours I finally get to the Menu, go through a few screens and was welcomed by the infamous Red Error Guy, went to change appearance and BOOM crashed to desktop 🤦‍♂️ I let my impatience get the better of me, one more try then I'll quit for the evening

I think the biggest thing to take from the past 48+ hours is that the AVSim Forums haven't imploded like they usually do when it gets mega busy round here, maybe they could take the weight from MSFS24!

Does anyone have a keyboard legend yet? Googled and did not find one.

so finally managed to get in past the load up screen through the avatar set up and into the front screen.....

but what do I actually need to install next is there any content packs (only seem to have 4 planes available even though I order the prem deluxe pack) - also can't seem to find big airports like heathrow to start a flight from only small GA airports?
