November 22, 20241 yr Nah, I'm getting significantly better performance in 2024. Much smoother, just really a pleasure to fly . 9800X3d, 4090, 64 GB DDR5 6000 RAM, 4 TB NVME (2x2), 4K Ultra + Framegen

And that's at 7680x2160. I should add I use DLSS (quality) and frame generation. Everything on max settings bar object detail and level of detail which are both still at the default setting. I think it's 200 for the latter, can't remember the former.

November 22, 20241 yr Hi, I have an i9-9900K CPU @ 3.60GHz, a GeForce 2080 Super. And 32 GB of RAM. I've lost 2 or 3 FPS (no stutters, at the moment). But the CPU temperature is much higher, so I had to fix the fps to 30 (instead of 40, which I had in MSFS2020). Greetings
November 22, 20241 yr You get better frame rates in the set challenges because it only streams what you need in theory, so only that bit is streamed because your on rails, in effect its not open world at that point. Once in free flight, like MSFS 2020, frames drop. The gamey bits are like an on rails FPS... Ryzen 5 3600 / RTX 2070 8GB / 2x8 RAM/

To me 2020 looks so much better. Clearly the 2024 uses lower quality, hence the higher framerate. AMD 7 7700X, 32GB DDR5, RTX 5060ti 16GB, 2 x Samsung 1TB NVMe, 1 x 4TB sata SSD, Windows 11 Prof

I noticed many low-res textures on the terrain in FS2024. They may affect entire areas or just spawn in a circle under the aircraft. Difficult to say if the issue will stay, it is a technical issue or it depends on the server load at this point. Surely the DLSS uselessness at least at 1440p is a big disappointment. I expected improvements in this area, instead there is still the same blurriness and ghosting on the displays and the water still looks really bad with DLSS enabled. 7800X3D | 2x32 GB DDR5-6000 CL32 | RTX 5080 | Alienware OLED 34" | 1 Gbps fiber

FS 2024 looks worse than MSFS at the same framerate. As for ray tracing, it is selective for certain shadows (all reflections are still SS) and in fact it has 1-2 fps impact on my system. I expect graphics downgrades in the future, similarly to what was done with MSFS SU5. It's not what I have seen. As said by somebody else a bit earlier here, the settings in MSFS2024 and MSFS2020 may have similar names, but they don't result in the same quality level. A simple example are the trees: in MSFS2020 I set them to ultra, and in MSFS2024 I set them to low... and they look the same. The level of details in MSFS2024 is just much higher than in MSF2020. "High" in MSFS2020 doesn't mean "High" in MSFS2024. Performance should be compared taking this into consideration.
