November 21, 20241 yr Anyone outside the US/Canada is currently not getting a proper experience of the sim. You may want to wait a day or three before making drastic decisions - they are still working on fixing server issues. It looks MUCH better than 2020 when it works.. which is clearly an issue for most of the world outside North America 9800X3d, 4090, 64 GB DDR5 6000 RAM, 4 TB NVME (2x2), 4K Ultra + Framegen

November 21, 20241 yr "We have increased our server capacity and are seeing more players accessing the sim, however, we are still seeing access issues continue. This is not the launch experience we want for our players and want to apologize to the community. We will continue to work around the clock with our partners and will provide updates until the issues are resolved." What I can tell you is that P3D was (is!) much more realistic than MSFS 2020 and 2024 in that matter. That's an impressive resumé. My experience is not that elaborate, but I do know about flightsims and I am a licensed pilot as well. I disagree with your statement; I find the experience in MSFS much more convincing and MSFS 2024 feels even better. It is important how you setup your controls though. I agree that is a hassle in MSFS 2024 at first, but easy when you get the hang of it. Cheers, Bert AMD Ryzen 5900X, 32 GB RAM, RTX 3080 Ti, Windows 11 Home 64 bit, MSFS 2024

After having used sims since over 35 years I have never ever seen such a bad interface for the key-bindings. After 2h I haven’t been able to set up my basic flight-controlls and keys (like moving left, right, up, down). It’s extremely frustrating. And I was ever more frustrated to discover that all controlls like rudders were inhibited when looking around with the right-mouse-button. This bug still existed in 2020 last time I used it 2 years ago and hasn’t been fixed. I will never understand the big hype for that piece of s….absolutely horrible user-experience so far. I pretty much got all the settings I wanted from MSFS 2020 into MSFS 2024. I don't understand what's so hard about it though. The names are the same as MSFS 2020. For example, "Quick View Left." It's the same name in MSFS 2020 as MSFS 2024. Honestly, the hard part is figuring out the terminology for the views you want to bind to in MSFS 2020 (I am using English terms, I can't say for other languages). If you know the terminology for the views from MSFS 2020, it's not that hard to bind the same views in MSFS 2024. The one difference I noticed was that for the Thrustmaster 16000m, in MSFS 2020, the buttons are numbered in the image, whereas for MSFS 2024, there were no numbers for the button in the image. But it wasn't all that much harder in MSFS 2024. As you were an airline pilot, I'm not sure why you found the controls interface that difficult to use, especially if you came from MSFS 2020, especially because it's mostly the same terminology between MSFS 2020 and MSFS 2024. Now if you come from a different flight simulator, I can see that the controls interface is pretty convoluted the first time you try to bind stuff, because you may have to learn the terminology in MSFS 2024 to find the views that you want to bind to.
