November 20, 20241 yr I am very disappointed and angry. First time since FS95 that I hate a flight simulator because of the dreadful GUI. I'm gonna stop trying to understand the "logics" behind this piece of s... 5 hours spent and I still can't find the way to set views and to bind simple joystick buttons. I will uninstall this poor piece of software and continue enjoying the beautiful MSFS 2020. Flying 90% of the time liners, I don't care to see flowers and bees on the hills. Let see if I can get a refund. If not, I will offer the 150$ spent to the poor Microsoft company, so they can publish an ad to hire a competent GUI manager. And very honestly, there is no drastic evolution between the 2 simulators, just some cosmetic improvements here and there. Nothing that justifies tearing one's hair out to set up basic functions and configure devices, especially when our efforts are punctuated by alerts concerning bandwidth and CTDs. November 20, 20241 yr Same here, spent a few hours trying to set up my controls without sucess, and I seemed to be suffering a lot of issues with the scenery, some floating, but mostly popping in and out. I requested a refund and was granted one within minutes. Maybe at some point in the future I will give 2024 another go, but for now 2020 will be more than adequate as I have all the controls and settings setup just great.
November 20, 20241 yr Ditto. Boy, am I glad that I didn't uninstall FS2020. I didn't request a refund, yet, but am contemplating to do so later today or tomorrow. November 20, 20241 yr It is going to take some time to get used to this interface, it is not the most intuitive. But I assumed this was coming and that it would take a month or two of just basic default flights to learn my way around it. But, yea, it is a bit of a jump. Glad I am not trying to keep 2020 in my head at the same time, I think that would just make it a lot harder for me, trying to switch back and forth. Right now I am just trying to figure out how to get rid of the co-pilot. MSFS 2024. Ouch... you can't be serious because this simply isn't true. Okay, it may not work for you (yet) but the things it adds in comparison to MSFS2020 are significant. The fact alone that I can cancel my Navigraph subscription now (in favor of better charts!) makes MSFS2024 better already, for me at least. Add to that things like a universal EFB, the option create control profiles for specific planes... no, it's not justy cosmetic. 2 minutes ago, David Roch said: Maybe are you young, and I am 66. I am 63 and I was binding control within seconds so... if I were you I'd forget about MSFS2024 for a few days and then check it out again after a week or so. This really and actually is a NEW sim in a lot of regards so it will take (quite some) time to get used to.
