Those that cant see the improvement in every aspect simply refuses too for some odd reason or havent tried the sim. When 2024 works(for me 90% of the time) it look amasing and nothing out there comes even close. Everyting is better in 2024, lightning, terrain, trees, physics, ground physics, clouds, shadows, snow, water etc etc… Edited November 25, 20241 yr by Kaboki
November 25, 20241 yr Well for me the things i grew to dislike in 2020, terrain popping in, that annoying glow around objects at the water line, areas which have no love at all like much of Africa and Russia etc. Those things are all still in 2024. Having said that about Africa though yesterday with all the talk of seeing animals i thought i'd try to see Hippos which i'd never done in 2020 and didn't see any Hippos but found this lovely area i am exploring..... Well detailed, has mountains and hills which i like to aim at, hate flying over flat land... I have not done or seen so much in 2020 and still love exploring it... November 25, 20241 yr Just to add, there aren't many games out there that after 4 odd years you can still find new places to explore or do. Maybe Euro truck sim is all i can think of? Ryzen 5 3600 / RTX 2070 8GB / 2x8 RAM/

Great times.

People game in different ways and i've no doubt that we won't see the likes of stuff like Assetto Corsa again, but that is a 10 year old game which i still play because i mod stuff in it, create my own cars. To say the world got 10 times bigger is just word salad. For the first year of MSFS 2020 i'd only flown around the UK. By all means for those that jumped to 2024 great, good for you, but there is a whole lot of game in 2020 still for me and really all that means is that ASOBO created a bloody fine game that lets be honest, if they never made 2024 you'd still be using it and enjoying it as what is still an incredible looking piece of software... Offcourse 2020 is a fine game. Im not saying 2020 is bad Im just saying 2024 is better. You are very welcome to enjoy 2020 as long as you want. I enjoyed it too before 2024. I cant personally enjoy 2020 anymore, because as a bush pilot and VR flyer the scenery on 2020 doesnt cut it anymore. Sorry AND it is bigger i a sense that you can see so much more variety, everywhere is different because of the different biomes and ground detail. Even a small area of 20km2 feels different in every corner of it because of the ground details, where in 2020 its all the same flat areas with the same grass and trees and no bumps and rocks and NO cliffs! Like I can enjoy that 20km2 area of the world for days, its so much fun. That is what I mean bigger and 10 times more to explore, its NOT word salad. Also, 2024 brought me new fun with floats wich I never used in 2020 because the water is dull. The new water even expanded the play area for me hundred times, because, well there is a lot of water and lakes in the world wich I never explored before. And the water physics makes it a whole lot of fun. Sorry cant help it im so hyped for this new sim:) Edited November 25, 20241 yr by Kaboki

Also in my local rural area the AI is generating trees in inappropriate places, I bought a piece of software for 2020 called uk trees which sorted that out, hopefully it’ll work with 24, I’ll try later. I’m pleased to report this little bit of software I bought at simmarket has also pruned the required trees down in 2024 and it’s now much more true to life. I think they do tree databases for other areas , and also there’s some freeware available that does the same. 787 captain. November 25, 20241 yr I dont think either one is entirely realistic, they're just different. One has a blue tinge to the entire scene and the other has a green tinge. Dave Kalin Excel Classes Computer Lessons

But both are by far the best looking flight sims out there, now from what i hear flight wise x plane wins, but then all i care about is that it fly's relative to my expectation, i'm not fussed on how realistic it is as i just fly to see stuff. So i am a proper casual flightsimmer and until a few days ago i'd not used MSFS 2020 for a month or so as i was into ETS and ATS. The new sim got me back inot 2020 again but i am so far off someone that a friend would try to convince to spend money on 2024. If i am flying the odd hour here and there over a week it would be insane to purchase 2024. Ryzen 5 3600 / RTX 2070 8GB / 2x8 RAM/

I have read feedback from various real life pilots that think MSFS 2024 has a better flight model than XP 12.
