November 23, 20241 yr Not many people mention the water physics. Its the best water I ever seen in any computer game/sim… I see float planes is gonna be my new thing to have fun with in flightsim:).
November 24, 20241 yr Threads like these make me a little sad. I think MSFS 2024 has a lot of potential, it's already very good. Comparing it to a mature sim like MSFS 2020 is unfair. I have no crashes, I have no real issues, the things that users in the Steam community are complaining about mostly existed or even still exist on MSFS 2020. Been simming since year 2000 and I've been flying MSFS 2020 and MSFS 2024 back and forth these couple of days, and I can definitely say that I already like MSFS 2024 better.
November 24, 20241 yr I do not think that it is unfair to compare the default simulator with a modded MSFS 2020. If the new kid on the block does not look significantly better than the existing version, then what is the reason for upgrading if that new version has bugs and bandwidth issues? Some of the screenshots of MSFS 2024 look fantastic (and I am certainly interested), but I have no intention of making the switch until various issues and features have been addressed to my satisfaction. That may sound like a stubborn viewpoint, but I am happy enough with my MSFS 2020 experience as it stands now......just like I was happy enough with P3Dv4 for three years after MSFS 2020 was released Christopher Low AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D CPU / 64GB DDR5-6000 RAM / 12GB Nvidia RTX 4070 Super GPU / Gigabyte X870E Aorus Elite Wifi 7 / 1+2TB Samsung Evo Plus M2 Nvme UK2000 Beta Tester
November 24, 20241 yr Wheres the physics compassions. Seeing some people harp over things as insignificant as tree sizes and other small graphical things and not over the fact that 2024 (imo) undoubtedly has far better ground physics (taxing is a complete joy) and better flight physics is amusing. November 24, 20241 yr The ONLY reason I’ve bought 24 is for the better physics, the other stuff is nice to have but the physics was my main motivation in buying. i must admit i do like that rock faces are now 3D vertical walls now as well though, and I suppose the ground and river improvements too. I do kind of wish this could have been offered as a sort of enhancement package to 2020 rather than a whole new sim, having said that the words FSX “ acceleration pack” still make me shiver ! 787 captain. Which any good modder could change in 2020, so why a whole new game? You suggesting allthese expensive planes people have been selling are rubbish? The only reason it's a whole new game is because of the Cloud Structure, everything else could've been a DLC for extra cost, which I dare say would've sold very well indeed. I agree Jon. The very same point I made yesterday! An updated/upgraded MSFS2020 with the things that relate directly to flying. yes, the words 'accceleration pack, do bring back memories. How can we go backwards when improved ground detail is a major element of MS2024? No. No, Mav, this is not a good idea. Sorry Goose, but it's time to buzz the tower! No matter what, with the new 2024 flight models developers can create even more accurate aircraft (unless they use their own flight model outside the sim, like A2A). And what MarcG said, a lot has changed under the hood which justifies a new version; changes could not be implemented as an update as I understand. Like what exactly? I'm not seeing anything other than the Cloud Structure that's forced a complete new title. I argued this before release and was hounded out by the resident Chairman of the Asobo Fan Club, now post release I'm still not seeing anything worthy that I haven't seen updated in other games/Sims as an Update or DLC etc. Pico Neo3 Link VR - Windows 11 64bit, Gigabyte Z590 Aorus Elite Mobo, i7-10700KF CPU, Gigabyte RX 9070 XT OC 16gb (AMD GPU), 32gig Corsair 3600mhz RAM, SSD x2 + M.2 SSD 1tb x1 Saitek X45 HOTAS - Saitek Pro Rudder Pedals - Logitech Flight Yoke - Homemade 3 Button & 8-directional Joystick Box, SNES Controller (used as a Button Box - Additional USB Numpad (used as a Button Box)

There definitely is some kind of mod active to reduce the size of the trees and the number of trees in urban areas. Actually I think I know pretty sure. Even worse, the more I look at it the more I suspect the creator of the video has the sims reversed; the whole feel, variety of trees and hue makes me think what he states is MSFS 2020 is actually 2024 and vice versa: 'MSFS 2024' looks way to blue and the huge number and size of trees in the urban area looks exactly like MSFS 2020 🤔 No matter what, I don't look at these kind of videos anymore. They're mostly clickbate with the intention to misinform (there are exceptions of course). 11 hours ago, pete_auau said: Just to add to this thread the author of the utube said no mod added to the msfs2020 version Appears I was totally wrong then...
