Where are the videos of 2024 operating flawlessly in NYC, and with an old graphics card?

  • The praise for the graphics is largely restricted to flowers, rocks, rural areas, and small airports - the low and slow GA types are in heaven just like FS 2020 was when it was released. Look at what

  • Simply wanted to experience it myself first hand. My sense is that they could have focused on improving 2020 vs launching another sim half finished.

Me too. 4K but only a few things on Ultra, most on high or medium. Trees density is much better on medium in any case.

I’m not going to make a video to prove it to you, but smooth here over NY, London, Tokyo with settings mostly on ultra / high with a 3090.

These people who claim to have no issues in MSFS 2024 with everything on max and in and major city

I have been simming since FS2 on a Commodore and have never seen any sim with everything on max and operate well in a major city, so this is not unique to 2024

Now you are a rocket scientist you could try kerbal

To cheer 2024 over 2020 is to defy logic.

Nothing on max in a big city works well, especially with a complex aircraft. There is no exception.

I was six years old when Neil Armstrong walked on the moon so I've always had a soft spot for rocket scientists...

...and I hadn't even looked at the freebie Max before tonight...🫡

The videos above are in 2K resolution. At 4K, even with a 9800x3D and a 4090 video card, 96 GB of memory, and a well-tweaked system, some stuttering will still occur on max settings in MS2024, even without a complex aircraft. In all these videos, there is constant movement left/right and in/out of the aircraft, and this micro-stuttering is not noticeable. Unfortunately, it is almost impossible to get a good assessment due to this wrong mentality that everything is ok.

Video tricks and  editing.  I have also been flying MS flight simulator for over 20 years, and  stuttering is a relentless feature regardless of the system.

I see very little difference in terms of image graphics superiority. I have seen a lot of side-by-side comparisons, and honestly I can’t tell which is which.

What I do know is my Alienware computer was screaming for mercy with 2024.

Not sure what you’re flying, but it looks no different from 2020. Besides it looks dark and gloomy.
