Are you completely unable to answer a simple question?  I asked if you found my video to be sharp or blurry - which one is it?  It isn't a trick question!

I enjoyed your video. And yes, it looks sharp.

recognize the game's deficiencies.

There is the real problem you have with MSFS.  Pity it took so long to get there.

What you see as a deficiency, I see as the current technological point we have got to in the history of flight sim.  For example, photogrammetry has been a revolutionary advancement in flight sim over previous iterations.  However, it isn't perfect, ranging from amazing to a melted mess.  We have a choice to use it or not.  Maybe you shouldn't use it because in certain areas it irritates you so much?

Nothing to see here.

Mmm, that sounds as if maybe, just maybe, your settings need tweaking or your PC isn't up to the job. 🤔

Ok, so that really narrows down where you are dissatisfied - photogrammetry.  It doesn't really matter how many buildings are in the video, because they look sharp into the distance.  I'm afraid there isn't currently a setting or system that will improve photogrammetry for you.  There are some areas which look amazing - which is why I asked you to fly from ENGM and fly south to Leeds City.  It still isn't perfect, but it is an area where the photogrammetry is good.

As you have discovered, New York can look bad.  I quite often load up at JFK with AIG traffic and PSXT to just plane spot - I use the LiveATC website to listen in to the ATC too.  However, the photogrammetry towards Manhattan looks terrible!

I actually fly mostly with photogrammetry off because another problem it has are tree blobs everywhere.

No more posts please. It's time for this post to die.

Respect my opinion and move on.

And remember, it's just a $100 game that requires endless tweaking and troubleshooting.

Let me just say this, I truly enjoy flying my MSFS, especially from 5am to 6am before heading for work. It's very relaxing despite its melting buildings and blurry visuals. But I understand it's not the natural world.

Cheers and happy flying!

I don't see blurry buildings in your video but you're also not flying in a big city where buildings are everywhere.

I promise I will make that flight and provide you with feedback via the private chat.

Thank you for your offer to assist, you are a decent guy.

Thanks for sharing but I prefer the more realistic mode of PG despite its issues; not that your shots are bad, they look good. They just don't look as realistic.

The worst part is that on FS2024 this setting doesn't even work. Whether you set it to 200 in ultra by default or increase it to 400, there is no difference

That is certainly the way it feels to me. I couldn't detect any real difference when I put my TLOD up to 400 (or even 500), and I'm not going to start playing with any "dynamic LOD" stuff. As Filou says, just another bug on the list. For me 2024 is just a very specific thing for exploring only certain areas and at very low, or now even actual ground, levels. Hopping about in the English countryside and exploring the back lanes is something I find very enjoyable. Going anywhere closer than several thousand feet over some places (try Boise, if you want to see some really awful PG) is a complete no-go.

I have found some amazing scenery in 2024, but even within the good areas, there are huge problems with stuff popping up or disappearing at very small distances. A few hundred yards or so in a lot of cases. Airports in particular are just a joke. Still, 2024 is likely to save me a bundle - I'm not going to buy anything more for 2020, even though I plan to keep it around for a good while yet, and I'm going to be buying very little for 2024 until it is working a lot better.

Ryzen 9 7900X, Corsair H150 AIO cooler, 64 Gb DDR5, Asus X670E Hero m/b, 3090ti, 13Tb NVMe, 8Tb SSD, 16Tb HD, 55" Philips 4k HDR monitor, EVGA 1600w ps, all in Corsair 7000D airflow case. Sims in use - 2020, 2024, XP-12 and -11, FSX/SE, P3Dv4.5 and v5.4. DCS and AFS2 installed but rarely used

I agree that it's past time to drop this thread. I could respect your opinion more, if it were expressed in a less obnoxious and personally offensive manner. Immature labeling of those who disagree with you as "babies" and such, will not win many arguments against grownups. Frankly I am fed up with this stuff, in this thread and others.
