Question, if 2024 is so good, how come according to steam users, there has been a dramatic drop in people using it in the past two months?

If you look at Steam stats for v20, you'll see a similar hockey stick graph.

  • Personally I'm tired of this kind of threads. It's always the same ones who spit their venom when they don't have or no longer have MSFS 2024. I understand that they are frustrated not to be able

  • There's this little thing called the flight model that 2024 does much better. Ground handling is many times better too. Clouds look better with less transparent nonsense and more cloud types in live w

  • Beats me. I suppose Steam users are stupid. O wait, I am a Steam user too LOL Well, it depends on how you use the sim, I suppose. Funny thing is that a lot of problems have to do with the career

Did you also see a 43% negative rating in the reviews?

2020 also had bad to mixed reviews when it came out but it got better with time.

In the early days MSFS had very mixed reviews, like MSFS 2024 today. I can't remember when it turned around.

I don't believe 2020 was anywhere near that low, since I probably would not have bought it then. I read reviews on pretty much anything I buy, using a bell curve.

And most of the negative critic was from the first 2 days because everyone was stuck at the loading screen, after servers got fixed the revievs started to improve. So the negative reviews doesnt really reflect the current situation… It was a bad launch…

Seems to be a thing in here for the serious stalwarts to state 'maybe' stuff, stuff thats dependent on many factors as if it's absolute fact

What do you mean "may be"? I fly in Free Flight mode right in 2024. In context of my quoted statement I meant "if you fly 2024  in Free Flight your experience will just like 2020" (but better weather, better visuals and better flight model) Meaning it's right now as is!

P.S. Last week I had problem with stock Live Traffic but seems like this week Asobo fixed it and now I actually hear on ATC airplanes I know IRL. So yes it's pretty cool.

Not true, in just the first week of January, I see many bad reviews. https://steamcommunity.com/app/2537590/reviews/

Yeah, but it went from ‘mostly negative’ to now being ‘mixed’, so the reviews definitively improved, otherwise it would still be stuck at ‘mostly negative’….

I seem to remember from those days you were not an early adopter, but joined the partly somewhat later.

There is something about 2024 that makes it feel even more immersive, once you experience that then it is hard to go back to 2020.

I bought 2020 when I got my new PC, Jan 2021, 5 months after it was released. And I read reviews first.  😉
