Unfortunately not 😢. Maybe in the future? Doesn't XP 12 has bathymetry data, so it should be possible theoretically?

In wonder how that new camera works with X-camera and head tracking…

I wonder if tides are a global thing now or just a scenery effect trick at Barra.

Looks like it's using the dataref "sim/graphics/scenery/moon_heading_degrees" in an animation, so it's a scenery effect trick.

The search and rescue hold capability is interesting. Wonder how that crept on their radar and who's using it.

Friendly reminder: WHITELIST AVSIM IN YOUR AD-BLOCKER. Especially if you're on a modern CPU that can run a flight simulator well. These web servers aren't free...

My guess would be the commercial use firefighters and search and rescue clients have been begging for it for a few decades 😇

It's a pity LR will never (be able to) release a pro customer list.

Is not that bad, maybe the new camera effect is too shaky (at least for my taste), until now nothing beats XPRealistic plugin camera effects.

However, this new beta doubled again my frames as usual 🤣🤣🤣

Whoa what a week to be a simmer! Both major sims dropped massive updates.

I need to split myself into two lol. Wish there were more hours in the day!

Well, they do model moon phases and angles, so yes, it should. But I gueess that would require some huge water shader rewrites.

Just did a few timelapses at Barra and the overall effect looks really cool.

And yes, it's a scenery effect trick. Comparatively crude, but effective (not gonna spoil it). And per the comment that can be found in TidalFlat.obj, the person who made the scenery at or for Laminar put quite some thought into timing the effect. Kudos!

Maybe Beta wants to qualify their ALIA 250 for SAR and needs to do endurance testing with standard patterns?

But all I know is that I have an itch for a SAR plugin now...

No it‘s really great and most of the user-feedbacks have been very positive. It can just be a bit oversensitive during taxiing but otherwise during flights it‘s fantastic and adds a lot to the immersion.
