This is my sim after all. There really is no difference when you enable Brasil or not. You won't see it or ever stream it if you never go there. As it is now you will first have to go to the MP and buy it and 'install' it before you go there. They might as well disable all aircraft and let you 'buy' them one by one if you want them. But I guess some people would have prefered that too. I was hoping MSFS2024 would make things more simple: install the sim and from there on everything will be ready to be streamed whenever you need it. Now I still have to scroll through all items and figure out which one I 'own' already, what is default or not, which things will be or are already enabled or streamer or actually installed (no clue). It's the first thing I actually do NOT like about MSFS2024. ;)
March 12, 20251 yr Took me maybe ten minutes to disable all the aircraft I don't want and scenery areas I will never fly over. I know it makes no difference if those areas are enabled or not if I don't ever go there but I still like to disable them. It's the kind of good mental housekeeping you only ever need to do once. Shouldn't really give you an ulcer. And yes, I would have loved to have an entirely blank canvas when I first started 2024 so I could have chosen what to enable rather than what to disable. That would have made much more sense to me and the way my brain works 🙃 9950X3D - X870E Aorus Master- TUF 5090 OC - 64GB DDR5 - 1500W HXi - Titan 360 RX LCD - 9100 Pro x 2 - LG 45GX950A - HOTAS Warthog with Ava Base
March 12, 20251 yr still no airports showing in the MP. It is not just empty, instead it seems to load for ages with a spinning circle. should I wait more than 10mins for airports to show up? Or are there just no airports yet? But then I would not expect to see that spinning circle but instead a blank page or a little "no content" remark? And yes, I would have loved to have an entirely blank canvas when I first started 2024 so I could have chosen what to enable rather than what to disable. I spent a lot of time organising my environment in 2020 (had to really, the number of addons I have). Having found with 2024 that the streaming hasn't been the disaster I thought it might be I could probably live with all my scenery being "active" if it really didn't affect either start-up times or ongoing performance. But aircraft are a different matter for me. I really dislike having to scroll through massive menus/lists to find the aircraft I want to use for a flight. Not an issue for some of you ("I only ever fly the xxx") but if you collect aircraft and have hundreds of them it is a real pain. Especially as some of them show up in the menu as separate entries for separate liveries. Maybe things in this area will settle down as they eventually get things to work properly, but at the moment all the messing around activating and disabling stuff is very badly handled. I hope they do eventually (or even better - soon) make it possible to download and store stuff locally. That should enable me to manage aircraft more in the manner I've done in the past. It currently also has the effect of making me much less likely to buy stuff from the marketplace if I can get the same thing elsewhere. It never was my preferred option - I always just used it for stuff on sale or unavailable elsewhere, but I'd say 90% (of over 1000 addons) of the stuff I bought for 2020 was from other sites/vendors. I don't play any other games (and I use the term simply to describe all the RPGs and stuff out there) but my understanding is that a lot of them support in-game purchases, so I assume that is the sort of thing MAsobo is targetting with the Marketplace (for the Xbox userbase, presumably?) Still mostly loving 2024, but it's got a long way to go still. Ryzen 9 7900X, Corsair H150 AIO cooler, 64 Gb DDR5, Asus X670E Hero m/b, 3090ti, 13Tb NVMe, 8Tb SSD, 16Tb HD, 55" Philips 4k HDR monitor, EVGA 1600w ps, all in Corsair 7000D airflow case. Sims in use - 2020, 2024, XP-12 and -11, FSX/SE, P3Dv4.5 and v5.4. DCS and AFS2 installed but rarely used
March 12, 20251 yr I don't have 2024 yet to check (I'm hoping it shows up in the Steam Spring sale, which starts tomorrow), but it has been said by MS and Asobo for some time now that world updates happen on the server side and you don't have to do anything because it will stream. But when the marketplace arrives, you will then have the choice to download and install them to your drive as you did in 2020. So if you don't want to do that, you can ignore the marketplace and should still have the world update streaming when you fly over that region. It would be good if somebody can test this to confirm.

No that's not how that works. It's all streamed at the moment. You can enable or disable what is being streamed but downloading packages is not yet a thing.
March 12, 20251 yr Also bought the Cirrus which is very well done I think. And a bargain at the moment. 9950X3D - X870E Aorus Master- TUF 5090 OC - 64GB DDR5 - 1500W HXi - Titan 360 RX LCD - 9100 Pro x 2 - LG 45GX950A - HOTAS Warthog with Ava Base

Downloading content is scheduled for SU2. It will include downloading planes for sure. But since they said content, it should be whatever content is available in your Content Manager in MSFS 2024. i5-12400, RTX 3060 Ti, 32 GB RAM

I’m assuming the Market Place has opened in 2024 to enable us to install the Brazil update and I’m also going to assume (fingers very crossed) that on Thursday this week things worth purchasing will appear in it….

March 12, 20251 yr Ahh fantastic news !! Quits out of FS2020 to have a look ... Loads up FS2024 Launches Market Place Freezes ..... To be expected I suppose Task Manager - Quit Back to 2020 😆

In MSFS2024 you "click" on "get it" and after the process is done (approved by the system) then you only need to activate it in the library.... Nothing to download. Exactly like the Gaya Standard airports. That's it ...but still very confusing indeed Regards, Marcus P.
