An utterly embarrassing UI design. Looks about as large and clunky as you can get. Anyone who looks at that design philosophy and doesn’t think it’s tailored for Xbox is delusional. PC is not their target audience. They may not say it out loud but their design choices speak volumes.

What is? I was actually struck by how much the marketplace reminded me of 2020.

This was a typo that has since been corrected on the MSFS Forum post:   It's fairly straightforward: if the item has a MSFS 2020 label, then it is the same package as was in MSFS 2020, n

  • You don't have to scroll, just type the aircraft name in the search box. That's what I do, I also hate scrolling through that list.

yeah it's very IN YOUR FACE when you first load in to see the Upgrade Blocks front & center, not a very good UI at all but I have seen (far) worse!

Pico Neo3 Link VR - Windows 11 64bit, Gigabyte Z590 Aorus Elite Mobo, i7-10700KF CPU, Gigabyte RX 9070 XT OC 16gb (AMD GPU), 32gig Corsair 3600mhz RAM, SSD x2 + M.2 SSD 1tb x1

Saitek X45 HOTAS - Saitek Pro Rudder Pedals - Logitech Flight Yoke - Homemade 3 Button & 8-directional Joystick Box, SNES Controller (used as a Button Box - Additional USB Numpad (used as a Button Box)

When I select Airplanes that I do not own - nothing is selected.  I started with Premium Deluxe so is there really nothing more for me in Market Place?

When I select any other category and select things I do not own - then all I see is a spinning circle for many minutes.  I have yet to see anything I can purchase in Market Place.

AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D  / MSI X870 Tomahawk Mobo / 64 GB DDR5 memory / RTX 4070 Super with 12 GB VRAM / AORUS FO48U 4k display
NVMe for Drive C, an NVMe device dedicated to Flight Sim 2024 and a separate NVMe device for Flight Sim 2020 and an NVMe dedicated to 500GB of addons managed by AddonsLinker   / 1 GB Comcast Xfinity Internet connection / HP Reverb G2 / Tobii 5 Head & Eye Tracking

I know. I should have said I won't enable it, my bad.

Why not? It will not do anything unless you finally decide to fly in that area.

I can enter the Market place but, shows no content to purchase. I wait it out for a few days.......Oh wait, make that next month when SU2 happens.

I try not to complain too much, if at all, but I shot into the market place to see if the P-180 is there, but it isn't - no third party stuff.  This adds to my other two gripes about the sim.  TLOD is awful, meaning no airborne traffic can be seen (unless it is really close), even over busy airspace like LA or New York. Secondly, every time 2024 loads and I watch that helicopter flying over field of crops swaying in the wind, AND visible way off into the distance, I do feel just a tad lied to.

I love 2024, but a Marketplace release with no third party addons is quite annoying. Why not just wait until it is ACTUALLY ready?

What is your LOD set at? I have mine set at 400 and have nothing blurry in the distance. I dont see plane during the day far away but at night I see their lights.

Should have waited till the third party stuff could be included, like the gang that can't shoot straight...

MSFS2024 Marketplace may be Live but reflects a poor rollout for 3rd party developers still hanging in limbo - the heart and engine of the Marketplace for the flight sim community. Each passing day adds extra stress to the 3rd party developers attempting to stay viable without income from the Marketplace advertised as “Coming Soon” for nearly 4 months!

In the extremely unlikely event I ever decide to fly in Brazil, I will be sure to enable it. Otherwise, there really is no point.

AutoFPS in auto mode sets the LOD up to 800 but air traffic is still only visible close.

You dont need to install anything, you just have to enable it. it will be streamed on demand, nothing will be downloaded.

If that is so then why didn't they simply enable it for everyone? I don't understand why you still have to 'buy' things in MSFS2024 while everything might as well be enabled by default. Just as I don't understand why they still show those old World updates as seperate packages. If it's all in the cloud it will be there once you get to it.

They made things complicated without reason. It all could have been so much more simple in MSFS2024.

Isn't it better to have the choice? Enable or not, up to you? I'd much rather that than absolutely everything enabled by default. This is my sim after all.

Now that I've had a look for myself I can see the issue, but it's not as bad as all that. The three big blocks are supposed to show featured items - big releases, sales, etc.
But because they don't have any of that yet without 3rd parties, they are putting the upgrade blocks there instead. Likely because it's actually the only thing you can buy in the marketplace at all.
Annoyingly the art they chose for the upgrades is pretty bad, especially for something that's going to appear that large. Much better to have used the MSFS2024 key art which has a bit more going for it.

Basically, my point is that once third parties are in, none of this would be a problem.
And other than those blocks I like the UI so far. The sales / highlights are right there, the category selection is handy, it's all quite usable I thought.

But! I can't seem to find the world map browser. I used to buy a lot of my sceneries from the map view - it was way quicker to find things that way rather than type searches.
If they got rid of it I'd be annoyed.

And I agree that they really shouldn't have launched this without third party content.

Like when they released 24? That isn’t how this group operates. Ever.

Read a funny comment on discord last night about the lack of 3rd Party Products on the Marketplace:
