Thank you, but why?  They never seem to grasp what is being said to them by the moderator.  It must be a language issue.  I think they need new blood.  Just because they are French doesn't mean that they can't hire an American.  Let them practice some diversity.  American companies are forced to do so.

35 years in IT and everyone, without exclusion said that I looked bored.  Thing is, I could do the job.

WT did mention that they are tweaking the ATC with region specific additions and I have noticed that I'm able to request engine start permission in my part of the world, which is accurate.

Having watched pretty much the whole stream, I don't get any feeling that Martial is being blase, or that he sees his work or the stream tedious, or his style shows lassitude, or he's suffering any kind of ennui or malaise. On the contrary, he's clear about what he does and doesn't know, and his explanations are marked by 'high rising terminals' (the fancy way to describe your voice rising at the end of a clause / sentence - a relatively new development in English communication helpful for showing inclusivity and openness to questions, a habit he almost certainly acquired unconsciously, and a sign that he's naturally a reasonably good communicator). I'm not saying that makes his utterances universally satisfying, but I don't agree that he shows any signs of being bored or not liking his job.

I'm not saying it's the only, or even main, reason for the not-uncommon perception that Martial is bored, but there absolutely is a cultural stereotype in English-speaking communities that the French are a bit lackadaisical, until they're not and burning the world and cutting off their oppressors' heads. The first sentence in this post has 5 words connected to boredom or uncaring, all with French roots, and you may have heard of a 'gallic shrug'. Personally, I like Martial's style as I think I know exactly where I stand with him. I may not like where I stand with him sometimes 😅, but I'm glad he's on the team.

Edit: and it's worth remembering that this is a very global, cross-cultural project. Frankly, that anything gets done at all is testament to Jorg's excellent project management #youmustbejokingwhatabouthebugs

He didn't know the FSR status, he checked, and you can just about hear him giving the table a couple of 'job done' slaps after he gave the status. He joked with Jorg saying 'ha ha, I knew you were going to say that'. There's definitely more evidence that he's engaged with his job and colleagues than not.

They've obviously been working their guts out since the release.   Huge number of fixes in SU1 and SU2 is just around the corner.

 

Disappointed with the comments in this topic, TBH..   They are looking exhausted, but are pushing through these commitments to connect with the community.
