November 3, 2025Nov 3 I will give it a try...been about 5-6 months since I used it last. I took a break on it because of the vectoring and sometimes extremely early descent calls. But it will be intresteing to see how it is now. Also, I really wish they would create the ability to remotely administer everything from another device (eg. iphone / ipad) like FSHUD, that has been a really good feature of that product. November 4, 2025Nov 4 Vectoring has been consistently good for me for a long time. Also regardless of the airport, which were as diverse as Christchurch, Glasgow or Helsinki. Based on FR24 tracking data, seems to have been very close to the real world procedures as well. Also, a friendly reminder that vectoring in BATC it is infinitely better than in MSFS – which doesn‘t have any vectoring at all. Edited November 4, 2025Nov 4 by thepilot

This is one of my chief complaints about BATC and near as I can tell their solution is 'customize' certain airports. What really sucks is that it looks ONLY at its own ATIS for choosing which runways to send you to. And while it's nice to match wind w/ runways BATC doesn't have a clue what plane I'm in nor how I'm loaded. Just a moment ago I'm pre-flight for BATC>KTEX in a CJR-550. It sends me to runway 21, a grand total of 3,900 or so feet long and no controllers would do that there. I requested this thru their site to make suggestions to allow users to override this...and it DOES let you request another runway then promptly denies the request. FSHud handles this nicely while it may have sent me to 21 it WOULD let me override this. I really detest this feature of BATC. So I just head on over to the runway a RW controller would have used, today that was 31R which is what both MSFS24 and Simbrief wanted to use. And then just kill BATC and fly w/o ATC. And same same a few days ago at PAJC in an A320: sends me to Rwy 8 requiring an immediate 180 degree turn to avoid colliding with the mountains. I did get on their Discord one day and happily someone took my feedback about KTEX: there again, until they 'customized' it, routinely would send you directly into death, Rwy 9 for takeoff. SIMPLY offering user overrides would obviate this need to 'customize' any airport with these types of issues. November 4, 2025Nov 4 I used it today after a long break. Did two flights , airliner ops from EGLL - LSZH and EKCH -LSZH (I’m Swiss air these days). Was quite a good experience with no major issues. I just wish BATC could somehow put the taxi ribbon onto the sim, like MSFS does. It would make life easier at big airports. I’m not sure that’s possible, so it’s not the biggest issue, I enjoyed both flights. 9800X3d, 4090, 64 GB DDR5 6000 RAM, 4 TB NVME (2x2), 4K Ultra + Framegen

My other persistent pet peeve though is that for reasons I'm clueless about its traffic animation is just flat out herky jerky. The solution is just don't look at moving traffic when you're near it. So I am one who uses BATC as ambience and company while I'm flying. I use FSLTL's injector and management instead which is ultra smooth. In fact BATC's traffic is the only thing in the sim with any kind of substantial stutter involved. GSX Pro can stutter as well but I uninstalled it many months ago so I have a stutter-free experience almost all the time. Tell me, when you look at BATC's traffic nearby, for example watching one taxi in front of you, do you see much stuttering in its animation? I do, so won't use BATC's traffic. If you don't seeing stuttering what models do you have in the #1 position in BATC settings? Take a close look I mentioned this to someone else who hadn't seen it but when he looked at aircraft taxiing and shortly before/after TO/Landing he then noticed the issue.
