Just a quick snippet:

Graphics

  • Adjusted sky colors: Now significantly improved with more realistic colors
  • Visibility depiction is now improved. Hazy conditions are depicted more accurately
  • Improved overall scene lighting.
  • Improved performance when rebuilding environment maps.
  • Fixed sun and moon rendering in VR for the right eye (XPD-16744).
  • Fixed cloud rendering in VR for the right eye (XPD-16735).
  • Fixed various errors.

Will install and test as soon as I can.

Nice... About to try that since I rolled back to stable last night and see if there are still inexplicable CTDs...

Lots of changes to bird interaction too

Lot of bird work, no mention of networking.

No mention of the Star Trek rain effect either. It gives me Spatial disorientation when flying at night in VR.

So, it seems at least after this flight that Beta 2 has been good to me so far.

1. One flight only, but on AFL KA350 which crashed before and this one was an hour or so long and didn't crash.

2. Performance boost over Beta 1 and MAYBE even 12.1.4.

3. One of the things I reported on Beta 1 was a degradation of sepia distant lights in cities at night into some kind of blurry low-res texture despite having my textures on Max. This seems to have been resolved in Beta 2.

So, fingers crossed, this looks like it resolved my issues with Beta 1. Hopefully the crashes don't return.

Possibly because its not part of this release. Im sure it will be mentioned before 2045 somewhere.

@Mike_CFII_MEL I'm no expert on networked setups for XP12, but have you checked other videos on this?

This guy seems to have done it, nicely.

The issues are not fixable on the users end, all he did was align screens.

Unfortunately, I don’t have access to bug reports.

New haze is very nice, just tested in Milan.

Absolutely beautiful clouds and lighting!
