AFAICT, he only covers the most realistic addons. And he always does it from the standpoint of an IRL commercial pilot operating an aircraft. I.e., you're getting operational training, not just a run through of checklists. Sadly for us, he must be a busy man, as his videos are few and far between.

Somehow I don’t think a 6 year and 12 year old girl want to watch a video on how to fly a jet… Nor do I have time to watch it with a 6 year old and 12 year old. Think it comes more diwn to, if you cant watch a 7 hr video, where you can skip stuff, dont know how you will find the time to read a 600 page manual. Mind you i hate the online manual thingy. If they can do that, nothing stopping them from producing a pdf.

April 13, 20251 yr OK... I have a quick question about the 650... I am very far from understanding how it all works as I am used to the airliners, mostly Boeing and Airbus... SO... Can anyone very briefly explain what 10th and 14th stage mean and why you would want to descend with certain bleed configurations (which from I understand, are all different...)? Forgive me for what may be a ridiculous question.

Can anyone very briefly explain what 10th and 14th stage mean and why you would want to descend with certain bleed configurations (which from I understand, are all different...)? Forgive me for what may be a ridiculous question. Taken from one of the documents we have. 10th Stage: This is a part of the high-pressure compressor section. The 10th stage bleed air is often tapped for cabin pressurization, environmental control systems (ECS), and may also be used for certain anti-ice systems depending on the aircraft's specific configuration. In many engine designs, the 10th stage bleed air offers a good balance of temperature and pressure for these functions. 14th Stage: This is another high-pressure section in the compressor. Bleed air from the 14th stage is typically hotter and more pressurized than from the 10th stage and may be used for anti-ice systems, where higher energy air is required to effectively prevent icing on critical surfaces like engine inlets and wing leading edges. The choice between using 10th or 14th stage bleed air is often dependent on the specific aircraft system design, and (while the engine can provide air from these stages) the precise configuration and use will be specified by Bombardier for the Challenger 650. In some operations, the engine control system can transition between these stages for efficiency or operational necessity. It's also important to note that the specific use of air from these compressor stages can depend on flight conditions, system demands, and overall load management needs. The compressor and turbine sections are a lineup of alternating rotating and stationary rows of airfoils. Each pair of stationary and rotating airfoils is traditionally called a "stage". Compressors often have a dozen or more stages, each one adding a bit more pressure to the air (and temperature, as Goran described above). The CF34 has a total of 14 compressor stages (so 28 rows).
