April 15, 20251 yr So seems like every few years this topic comes up, so curious where things stand in 2025. So, what video games are you playing? Console or PC? (I have a PS5 and for PC a RTX 5080 rig). I think we are in a golden age of gaming (hardware costs notwithstanding) as some really good titles. Right now I'm regularly playing the following: 1) Monster Hunter Wilds. I played Monster Hunter Wolds a ton and Wilds didn't disappoint. Easy to see why Capcom sold 10 million copies. Great eye candy, the fights are fun and good progression. Probably my only complaint is it is much easier than prior titles. I have a lvl 109 toon and I main the Hunting Horn. I usually play multiplayer with random groups so love the support role of the horn. 2) Marvel Rivals. I play this on PS5. Basically an overwatch knock off, but still fun. I play regularly with three buddies of mine. I've reached platinum level a few times for the competitive seasons but have yet to hit diamond. My favorite toon is Majik with her sword! 3) Civ VII. I'm a longtime Civ player. This version has some wonky new mechanics but I'm still enjoying it. It works my CPU and GPU HARD. 4) Path of Exile 2. I'm an old school Diablo and POE player and enjoying POE2 when I have the time. Steep learning curve but fun. 5) DCS. I own a lot of plane modules and go in and out of playing. Currently re-learning the F-18 and will end up playing my favorite, the KA-50, after I feel confident again in the F-18. 6) MSFS 2024. Retired from 2020 and enjoying my 2024 time. The only BIG title I'm yearning for is Grand Theft Auto when it comes out. That game will break records. Can't wait. April 15, 20251 yr Nothing that exciting, but since I am a railroad fan I am playing: 1) Railroader. This one is still Early Access but to be honest the most addictive Train Sim I have found so far. It is more operations based but very interactive, takes place in Appalachia during the 1950s Steam to Diesel era 2) Transport Fever 2. This one is just addictive 3) Railroads Online. This was more fun during Early Access now that it is full release I have moved on, but still have a go at it sometimes 4) Fishing: North Atlantic. This one is in Nova Scotia where I used to live so I get to fish my old stomping grounds 5) Farm Simulator 2022. Haven't got the latest yet waiting for a Steam Sale 6) Truck Simulator USA and Europe. Best Time Waster Ever 7) MSFS 2024. Surprisingly I spend very little time on Flight Sim after decades of addiction, 20 years ago I dreamed of what we have accomplished today, but now that it has acheived unimaginable realism I have lost interest, this is what happens when you become spoiled I guess. I went down the rabbit hole with Farming Simulator I got totally addicted lol. I was even watching REAL LIFE farming videos non-stop lol, learning the equipment and methods haha. Really loved that game. But I've avoided the new iteration as a) I hear it is not as good as prior, and b) I'm afraid to go down that rabbit hole again due to time. One day probably...... I like your mix and I can see myself playing a lot of those games. Truck simulator is interesting and I do have a solid wheel and chair, so maybe I'll check it. The fishing game looks interesting, but I'm more looking for a hunting in the woods game. Heck even the railroad stuff seems cool. Great suggestions and list. April 15, 20251 yr 1) Galactic Civ 4 2) FS24 3) WoW (That would be Warcraft not Warships) I plan on getting back to Baldur's Gate 3 now that the FINAL PATCH is here. There're also the MANY games I've bought on Steam and never actually played let alone downloaded. (I can't be the only one whose done that!) Last is the "game" of getting everything to work in Ms24. Why can't these WinWing peripherals work on all planes! GRRRR "I am the Master of the Fist!" -Akuma

(I just hope I live long enough to play Squadron 42.) I have a nice payware ship in Star Citizen but haven't played in about 6 months. Will eventually get back into it. I go back on forth on Star Citizen, some days I'm like, "this is a scam" and other days I'm like, "has good potential". Still on the fence. I so want an Eve on steroids type of space experience and have yet to find it. I hope Star Citizen gets there. 42 minutes ago, SKEWR said: I plan on getting back to Baldur's Gate 3 now that the FINAL PATCH is here. I completed it and after a while I'll probably run another campaign with a different toon. Mine in only $1360 since 2010, I thought it would be a lot more, but my MSFS purchases are outside Steam. My average spend is in the $5 to $35 range as I only purchase during Steam Sales 11 hours ago, SierraHotel BSc said: (3) UBOAT. Amazing little sim This has been on my Steam List for a while now, I will admit the previous releases were amazing, I'll grab it on the next Steam Sale (I should have the last sale) I also noticed someone is doing another B-17 Simulator as well, that one was also an amazing WW2 sim from back in the 90s too, you could jump around between the crew and take control of the gunners, or flight deck, bombers, navigator etc UBOAT and B-17 pretty much sums up my 90s 😁 Edited April 15, 20251 yr by Matthew Kane Matthew Kane I'm Dyslexic, what's an error to you is not to me

April 16, 20251 yr I bought Civilization 7. I like it a lot, but honeslty I have not had the time to put into it and learn all the mechanics. Assassins Creed Shadows - Really enjoying this as my "pick up and play" game. Most nights, I do not have time to get into Civ or MSFS, so this fits perfectly. Incursion Red River - An early access extraction shooter by a very small dev. The game is rough around the edges, but tons of fun. The great thing is it is truly a game that can be played solo. No PVP, and you can actually pause the game. I really enjoy it as I don't have to worry about running into people who put 1000 hours into the game wrecking me. ------------------------- Craig from KBUF
