Reason: I purchased Chaseplane 3 weeks ago, but I didn't install it because I went on holidays. In the meantime, I've read all the horror stories in this thread, and I've been pausing Windows Updates since I returned. Just with Chaseplane - which is weird. P3D default camera is not affected. I would request a refund if I was you and Probably move to Ezdok
May 16, 20251 yr Have people tried the fix I posted a few days ago? Turn off Minimise to Taskbar in the CP general preferences.
May 16, 20251 yr Author I've now decided to use EZCA, and after some frustration and a steep learning curve, I can fly with it and it works perfectly. I'm still learning and have only configured two aircraft so far, but I'm sure I'll be able to get the rest done faster now. Chaseplane was also difficult at first. We usually forget that over time. Now that I've configured EZCA to my needs, I ultimately find it's good to have to learn something new every now and then. That way, I don't get rusty. Would be keen to hear if you need to run the EZCA simconnect installer after windows updates every few weeks. Let me know how you go. It's no big hassle for me, but not sure if I'm the only one.

I know two people who have had success with this approach. I find it strange that everyone seems to have ignored my suggested solution, which I posted twice, so please let me know if it works and if there are remaining problems.

Hello @simfan1983 It seems to help slightly I can tell. However, I notice when you click out of P3D i.e change windows or open another application there is the small lag before it goes back to normal speed which has been the problem since early April. I am not quite sure if this is what you are experiencing as well. Please let me know. Happy to compare results
May 17, 20251 yr Yes, I believe the fix reduces the issue to where it is not a deal-breaker. One thing to try to alleviate the slight pause when clicking on another window would be to force ChasePlane to stay 'always on top' on the second monitor. I don't have any CP issues myself, so am merely reporting what others who did that reportedly works for them. It's certainly a better option than ditching CP altogether IMO.

I’m not ignoring you. With the sunny weather we’ve been having in the UK for the last few weeks I’ve hardly used P3D. Once the weather returns to normality I’ll start flying again. 👍 Ray (Cheshire, England). Thanks for the second suggestion, the Window on top seems to remove the lag indeed. I can confirm. I think its silly of Parallel 42 not to address this small issue.
May 18, 20251 yr I did more testing. Notes: I always have the Chaseplane interface/menu on my second monitor. I use WIN11 24H2 26100.4061 Windows with Feature Experience Pack 1000.26100.84.0 P3D 5.4.928482 I found panning (middle mouse button) will slow down (like in a precision panning mode) if : 1. I move the Chaseplane interface/menu from my second monitor to my main monitor. 2. I minimize the Chaseplane interface/menu to the taskbar.
