FSS Ejets Available for MSFS2024 SU2 Beta

Featured Replies

Thought I’d post this as I wasn’t aware until i came across a YouTube video last night.  I was able to install the E-jets through contrail.  I haven’t tried them in sim yet but hopefully will be able to today.

Some limitations were noted on Discord, most notably that the SU2 Beta is required, and that Simbrief flightplan imports are not currently working.

Still no VNAV and custom FMC I wager?

Typical FSS style, always biting off more than they can chew.

I'm very disappointed with their E-jet, and regret investing in it. None of their promises and estimates stick to timeline they originally posted 😞

Hey!  But their CUSTOM FMS is coming. Soon. Really. No foolin’.  /SARC

(Full Disclosure …I own EVERY ONE of their planes.  Very foolish too in hindsight)

It's something I haven't understood either, likely because I don't have the necessary technical knowledge but:

Isn't it a port-over of the XP variant which has all the systems? Why haven't they been able to duplicate it for MSFS?

Is the development environment that different between the two that it has to be done from scratch?

I’m not an XP user, but perhaps it has those software Features and Functions built in and FSS simply leverages them.

Nope. FSS only purchased the external model from X-Crafts. FSS E-Jets and the X-Crafts E-Jets are developed completely independently of each other.

I heard their 727 was released for MSFS 2024 but then I also read that somehow it isn't working and therefore effectively can't be used in MSFS 2024. Is that right? Is it unusable?

They had a version compatible with 2024 that worked fine with a few issues. Biggest I recall was the GPU not working so you had a start up APU.

One of the patches - I think SU1? Broke it and they withdrew that version. Apparently a new version is coming soon.

I don't mind the Ejets, I think they fly great if you ignore the missing automation. Personally never been a big fan of overly automated planes and flying it like a CRJ worked just fine - an enjoyable experience.

That’s not me dismissing the missing FMS and Vnav at all - it is frustrating that it took this long to get it going. Something definitely went wrong there.

  • 2 months later...

A minor niggle for me, in the passenger cabin, we can't control the passenger cabin lighting liking dimming the cabin lights using the panel above the jump seat, in MSFS 2020 that panel worked flawlessly in MSFS 2024, not all.

One of the things with a MSFS 2020 model in MSFS 2024 FSS told me via email.

MacBook Neo: A18 Pro with 6-core processor and 5-core graphics 8GB Unified Memory, macOS Tahoe, X-Plane 12 (12.40).

Mac mini: M4 chip with 10 core processor, 10 core graphics, 16 GB Unified Memory, 256GB SSD, macOS Tahoe, X-Plane 12 (12.40), X-Plane 11 (11.55).

Lenovo Legion 5 16IRX9: Intel Core i9-14900HX, 32GB DDR5-4800 RAM, 1TB Micron NVMe SSD, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 8 GB GPU and Intel UHD Graphics 16EU iGPU, Windows 11 Home, MSFS 2024 and 2020, X-Plane 12 (12.40), X-Plane 11 (11.55) and Lenovo LOQ 15 15IAX9: Intel Core i5-12450HX, 24GB DDR5-4800 RAM, 1TB Solidigm NVMe SSD, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2050 4GB GPU and Intel UHD Graphics 16EU iGPU, Windows 11 Home, MSFS 2024 and 2020, XX-Plane 12 (12.40), X-Plane 11 (11.55).

Alienware m15 R7: Intel Core i7-12700H, 16GB RAM, 1TB SSD, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti 8GB, Windows 11 Home, MSFS 2024 and 2020, X-Plane 12 (12.40), X-Plane 11 (11.55).

Regarding the VNAV, very soon they will release a big update with VNAV working. If I am not mistaken, it should be already in July.

We've been hearing that the past two years already......

Asus Maximus X Hero Z370/ Windows 10
MSI Gaming X 1080Ti (2100 mhz OC Watercooled)
8700k (4.7ghz OC Watercooled)
32GB DDR4 3000 Ram
500GB SAMSUNG 860 EVO SERIES SSD M.2

No VNAV.

FSS is still working on implementing a functional FMS. Airplane currently uses the (not very good) default MSFS FMS.

Beta testing for the FMS via a very small group of selected participants was supposed to begin by end of July. No announcements yet as to whether that is actually going to happen. If it does occur, full rollout is still many months down the road.

Given the length of time to implement an FMS (several years as noted), likely that a functioning VNAV will be still more years in the making. Possibly not happening at all.

Its a great plane but without a decent working FMS, it sits on the shelf for many users.

Not even close. They haven’t even started beta for the LNAV portion. Only after it is complete will they begin VNAV testing. Starting to believe it will never happen.
