¿Alguien más se da cuenta de que el tiempo en vivo no es nada preciso en el sur de Francia? MSFS 24 muestra cielos despejados cuando debería estar nublado y lloviendo.

In both su1 and su2 I noticed that sometimes the weather didn't load properly, restarting the simulator sometimes solved it.

Cue the classic "Well, it’s a beta - what did you expect? How dare you be annoyed that it’s broken?" crowd.

  • And THIS is why I did not trust them after the last time they uninstalled my sim.  At least they validated my concern... Do they not have a f-ing staging environment?  It's really a bit silly at

Make sure MSFS is installed on the same drive that Windows is installed to on your computer (ie. if WIndows is installed on drive c:, make sure MSFS is also installed on drive c:). Also, I see in the MSFS forum, this has been brought up before, you can check these threads to see if it helps:

https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/community-folder-items-cannot-be-copied-or-removed/500786

Thanks again. The sim is installed on the same drive as Win11 (= c:). I will check these links 👍🏼

I am surprised a beta participant doesn't know AddOn linker, the highest download tool on flightsim.to

Not sure how more people aren’t seeing this, or maybe they are and aren’t bothered by it.

Not in the beta, but ground lighting in FS24 is awful in general. One of my biggest gripes with the “sim.” No bloom option, the light halos are way too big, almost like DoF is applied only to the lights. The glass cockpit screen brightness/bloom too. It’s so annoying and honestly one of the main reasons I still use 2020 70% of the time.

SU2 is an overall vast improvement to the whole lighting scheme in my opinion. It's got the brightness/bloom thing under control at last.

The night environment is still poor though. They made a big thing of the improvements that were coming in 2024 but I think it's one of those things that needs a lot of optimization on the part of the devs but they've had to spend the last five months wrestling with what they released.

Again, in my opinion, SU2 is finally something like the sim we should have had on release. Hopefully now they can get on and fine tune it in the following SUs; the night environment, clouds, the instability of live weather, throw a bone to VR users, etc.

Thanks for the explanations. That’s weird because I just restarted by PC to be sure. I am running Windows 11. And as soon as I am trying y to paste any files/folder from the « community » folder, I get a warning « your organisation doesn’t allow you to place this file here ». And I am trying to copy them to another disk where I have full access. It actually doesn’t mater where, it simply won’t allow me. I tried to change the permission of the original community-folder on C too, but it also doesn’t allow me to do it…

How did these files get into your community folder in the first place if you cannot access it?

I seriously do not understand stuff like this. Surely a basic beta test before release would have informed Asobo that the "new" night lighting in MSFS 2024 was (apparently) rubbish compared to that in MSFS 2020. So why was it released in that state??

Via installers, for example Fenix or FlyByWire-Installer (fstl-traffic) etc.

I have never used add on stores such as those and have only used addons linker with freeware addons. I wonder whether the files are encrypted or limited in some way to try and prevent piracy. Perhaps someone else can confirm if addons linker can control files from third party stores.

Can you control where the addon stores install to? Perhaps you need to install the addons into the addon linker folder instead of the community folder?

As far as I understood, everything purchased in the store is now streamed and not installed locally anymore, but I may be wrong.

There is a folder called streamed packages, though I'm unsure what information is in there
