April 29, 20251 yr I just tested 12.2 beta4. Test setup: Toliss A320 aircraft, complex scenery (Alps), complex real weather (lots of clouds), graphic settings sliders repositioned quite high (as I had them in the previous 12.1). Result: excellent! Even though my PC was (intentionally by me) put in a "fatigue" situation, no Vulkan crash or memory loss occurred. Good job Laminar. 👏 [Pc Intel i3-4160 3,6 GHz, 8 GB di RAM, GeForce RTX-3060 12 GB, Win10 Home 64 bit]
April 29, 20251 yr Hi, I also guess XP-12 has vastly improved this past weeks, I just installed (and tested) the latest update 12.20 beta4 (all vanilla) and I felt a big drop in fps in the MMMX airport, much worse than EGLL in which I have no problems in terms of performance, that's why I thought a little strange. Has anyone had problems with the default MMMX? Thanks!
April 29, 20251 yr XP is geting impressive day by day. Just fired it up after the update, i can say wow. Ryzen 5 1600x - 16GB DDR4 - RTX 3050 8GB - MSI Gaming Plus
April 29, 20251 yr Just installed the update. No time for a flight today, but will have just enough to sit at the gate at KATL with live wx to see what fps/performance is like at that level. Waiting on it loading as I type this. Very smooth performance on an old pc. Toliss A321N at Nimbus KATLv3. Can't wait to get a flight for a better idea. Looks real promising. Glenn Wilkinson Spoiler My specs: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X @ 3.7 GHz, 32 GB 3200MHz DDR4, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 12 GB, 2TB SAMSUNG EVO Plus SSD M2, 2TB WD Black Gaming SSD M2, 8TB WD Black Gaming HDD, 4TB WD Black Gaming Ext HDD, Windows 10, X-Plane 12 + large quantity of 3rd party addons scenery & aircraft. Honeycomb Alpha & Bravo, Thrustmaster TFRP. It's an older machine but gets the job done quite nicely - smooth with no stutters!
April 29, 20251 yr Quote Fixed an issue when loading a customer aircraft (XPD-16767). What the heck does that even mean? 7950X3D + 7900 XT + 64 GB + Linux | 4800H + RTX2060 + 32 GB + Linux My add-ons from my FS9/FSX days

Look, 12 hours now since XP-12 update, but several developers like Felis, FlyJsim, Zibo, FF, etc. are making updates of their products during the beta phases of XP-12, those iXeg guys haven't made an update since the release, almost 2 years ago, with complaints from numerous customers, how can´t you see that? Ok my friend, I'll stop here otherwise they'll lock this thread too. 😉 Take care! Roger out. Ever heard of the saying "dont fix what isn't broken"? So the 733 dev is working inside Laminar, creating updates that benefit everyone and all aircraft, even those of us that don't own it, while, as you have implicitly stated (by not saying anything), there is nothing to fix on the IXEG 733. And you think that is a bad thing? Edited April 30, 20251 yr by mSparks AutoATC Developer
May 1, 20251 yr VERY smooth and beautiful flight around KMSP using the Carenado Saab 340 XP12-ified version and using Lossless Scaling set to get me to 60FPS. I have to force myself to even boot up the other sim - it’s just so good! And I’m not even using any ortho fixed or streamed (might try with the Orbx packages Tony built and I had fun beta testing years ago).

Over all of the years I have had "both" sims, and for the first time *EVER* I am about to buy my first x-plane addon plane! I keep saying in the "other" sim forum how important the atmosphere is - and the "other" publishers just kind of ignore most of their customers. X-Plane is starting to pull way ahead in the atmosphere and I love the night lightning (airports especially). "Keep listening to us, x-plane devs - you are starting to gain more and more attention!" The other publishers cannot even seem to successfully launch an update, I am extremely unsatisfied with their professionalism and their team seems very unengaged (sloppy) since about a year ago.
May 3, 20251 yr I confess that my patience to close my eyes to the inconsistencies and limitations of the other SIM is getting emptied... Was watching a few vids of the "new" pmdg 772 and it feels so detached from reality when it comes to such basic stuff as the feel of inertia that it's simply not acceptable, at least for me... Then the weather, it's effects and how they impact flight and systems, basic stuff like having popup instruments like in xplane which are a true mess in the other SIM, and so on and so forth... This morning I loaded xp12.2 beta4, the Toliss 319, and did a short LPPT-GMMX... Wow, what a feel, what a smooth and gorgeous ride ! The polar opposite in the other SIM.

I bought XP12 a few weeks ago after hitting a wall with MSFS and just bought the HotStart Challenger 2 days ago. The atmosphere is fantastic and really can't believe how realistic it looks. Such a more natural view where...yes...the sky isn't always pretty pink and orange!! Grey skies and haze can be pretty normal when flying and love seeing it in this sim. Now if I could just figure this Challenger 650 out....😆 Eric i9-12900k, RTX 5070ti OC, 32GB ddr5 5600 RAM, 2TB 980 Pro SSD, Titan 240RX AIO, Samsung CRG90 49", Win 11
