Supera fácilmente los 100 GB. If your connection is Paleolithic maybe but if it is Paleolithic I don't think 2024 will work very well for you either, you download ten times more in 2024 in a few days of porcel streaming usage.
May 11, 20251 yr I'm awaiting SU2 for MSFS2024 before I consider making the switch over. At the risk of offending some folks but in its current state MSFS2024 still feels early access to me.

A riesgo de ofender a algunos, MSFS2024, en su estado actual, me sigue pareciendo un acceso anticipado. Even with SU2 you're going to have that feeling that there's a lot to fix and fix this is going to take a long time. It's really up to you and your level of demand to use it sooner or later.

I still have FSX on a backup computer on a HDD from 6 years ago and can use on my main system if I choose so. If He/She still have P3D v5.5 on their main drive or system so let them be as no one can force them to remove it. Edited May 11, 20251 yr by JBDB-MD80

I recently went back and started looking and reading at Wiki about the series just to reminisce myself. I started out with FS4 back in '92. I was hooked and I was obsessed at the upcoming FS5 as Microsoft began releasing teaser pics on several of the "time sharing sites" back then before the internet became a thing.

It takes time for the mountains to stream in 😆 2020 and 2024 are both streaming sims. A large portion (e.g. 80%) of the data you need is streamed in both sims (dem, aerial imagery, online weather and traffic). The difference is only how the remaining 20% are handled (world updates, MP addons). In 2020 these 20% were streamed upfront and in 2024 on demand. As 2020 couldn't tell what you need upfront, it had to download 10 to 20 times as much data in addition so it made sure the 20% which needed were there (like 1000% ... 2000%). And 2024? It is just downloading exactly the 20% you need. So that is the main difference between the two.

Does not cost me a cent to keep them. Storage is cheap. You don't have to have one simulator or the other. You can have it all. May 11, 20251 yr Wish I could. But I still can't get more than 10 minutes (if that) into 2024 before it invariably CTDs. I've done numerous reinstalls, updates, bug fixes, work arounds, hardware settings and firmware changes, scoured help desk recommendations and MSFS boards for help, and tried any number of so-called "expert solutions". Nothing has worked yet. For whatever reason, 2024 and my PC don't want to work together and I continually lose patience afteer hours of trying to find the problem. At some point down the road, I'm confident that I'll finally find the culprit to the CTDs but until then, 2020 works like a charm so I'll keep on flying that for the time being. i9-14900k | 32gb DDR5 5600 RAM | RTX4080 | W11 | HP Reverb G2
