3 Horsepower plane. Won two design awards in 1921. one for a thousand pounds another for five hundred pounds.

English Electric Wren was a gasoline engine award winning plane from 1921. It flies well in MSFS 2024. Is very stable to taxi despite the small wheels because it is too big and too under powered and too slow to ever tip over.

5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB  PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. Crystal Light VR.

I'm gratified you are using the sim that you prefer, but why does that have to end with a silly comment towards 2024?  I can agree with some of your points regarding 2024 because we are not even at th

I don't understand people who think you can't have multiple simulators installed at the same time. STORAGE IS CHEAP! I still have installed XP12, P3Dv5.5, MSFS2020 and 2024.

Not me,  still a huge MSFS2020 fan and this would go at least until the end of this year so possible at this time the most bad and anoying bugs are blocked out of MSFS2024 !! cheers 😉

Polar opposite of Phantoms and Foxbats 😁👍

And speaking of English Electric, Lightnings, too 😎

Same here, I still can't figure out how people can rave about how great XP looks, to me it looks like P3D with some lipstick.

You don't like anything thats not PMDG or MSFS2020. Tunnel vision! MSFS2024= Greatness.  XP12= Greatness. Its not difficult to run XP12 and the scenery look spectacular. It also has some very good addons.

I've owned every version of flight simulator since Flight Simulator 3.0 in 1988.

Windows 11 Pro loaded on a 4TB Gen5 Crucial T700 SSD, 4TB Samsung 990 Pro SSD, Ryzen 9 7950x3d, AS Rock X670e Taichi Motherboard, Gigabyte Gaming RTX 4090 OC 24GB, 64GB (2x32GB) Viper Venom  DDR5-6000MT/s, MSI 32" MAG 321UPX QD-OLED 260hz 4K Gaming Monitor.

I have the add-on scenery packs for X-Plane 12 and to me the graphics quality looks similar to Flight Simulator X. What scenery packs are you using?

I'm using these scenery packs https://simheaven.com/xp12-sceneries/

I agree, from what I am reading on various forums, 2024 still has a way to go.

Funny.  If you don't subscribe to bobskis SIM choices then your penance is to fly 3 flights in MSFS 2024.

This guy gives a good example of what to use.

I am happy that x-plane continues to develop, but I cannot fathom spending a day and downloading 100 GB or more to try to get x-plane to look something like MSFS2024.

MSFS 2024. Primary Planes: Black Square TBM850, Duke, Baron, Caravan; A2A Comanche; FSReborn Phenom; Fexix A321; PMDG 737-7, 777: Utilities: Active Sky (Passive Mode); BATC, FSLTL.

Lets keep XP related stuff off the MSFS forum if people are interested in XP there is a proper forum for it.

I would stick to 2020 too if I only flew two aircraft that were not available for 2024.  When they do become available, will you be switching to 2024 to gain the upgraded features?

wont be long  before the rest of  the planes you are after are ported over to msfs2024

Why would you need to download 100Gb?

CPU Ryzen 7800X 3D  RAM 32GB Corsair VENGEANCE DDR5 6000MHz GPU GEFORCE RTX 4090
Monitor AOC AGON AG352UCG UltraWide G-Sync @ 3440x1440
Internal Storage 1TB NVMe PCIe SSD
External Storage Three 4Tb HDs

Because you need to download the base packs for the map enhancement tool to work, not to mention autogen trees, buildings, and houses. Easily surpasses 100Gb

Sim heaven is missing the all-important Ortho photos.

Without image based ground textures, nothing looks good. It's basically MSFS' secret sauce.
