Only double stacks? Not to be picky, but that's a shame. That old 185 for example doesn't need more than a single GTN 650. By the way, in real life you rarely see old panels upgraded with only GTN units. They're very frequently paired with modern digital solutions to replace the old six packs. If you upgrade your panel, do it right 😉 Regarding this, I like what Flysimware did with their Beechcraft C24R, by also throwing a Garmin G5 in the mix.

Cheers, Bert

I just bought the Tomahawk, now I'm trying to resist the urge to buy this for it. Edit. I lasted 5 minutes.

  • I think you're being too picky.  This is done all for free.  Sim attachments takes time but it's not impossible.  You could try your own user mod with a single 650.  I think there is another user doin

  • In this case you are correct! Now we can finally say: Please enjoy crossfill!

I think you're being too picky.  This is done all for free.  Sim attachments takes time but it's not impossible.  You could try your own user mod with a single 650.  I think there is another user doing a full glass panel mod though.  And since no one has done a nice G5 I don't think anyone is interested in the terrible default units for a AI and EHSI.   I don't agree that a C185 would only have a 650.  I mean sure, they're out there.  But the 185 is a nice plane... it's not a C140 for VFR only.  The C185 is a workhorse and I've seen them equipped with dual GNS and GTNs.

I'd take dual GTNs any day irl!  And it's nice to have in the sim!

Also the person who made this mod also added an HSI AND autopilot... so that's 2 additional more modern avionics.  I really think you should try it yourself!

I am aware of this, lol. If I had the talent I would be all over creating my own mods, no doubt. Having said this I do appreciate the efforts to create these free mods for us, I just don't like them all. And I miss other digital solution like the G5 I mentioned, or other modern equivalents to replace an ASI or HSI, or whatever other older analogue instrument.

I already do enough free stuff (painting) but if I didn't I'd look into this stuff.  It doesn't seem too terribly complicated.  I do agree having a nice set of G5s would be ideal.  But I know Les personally invested a lot of time into the FSW Beech Sierra instruments - especially trying to spice up the default G5 into a decent looking G5.

In the MSFS 2024 Community folder you need to see two SimAttachments, the 750Xi and the 650Xi.

To install those, you need to update the TDS GPS Manager to version 1.0.1.5 or higher and reinstall the TDS GTNXi Pro for MSFS 2024.

This is great news!  Make sure you update both the Garmin trainer and the GTN or it will not work (as stated in the manual...).

Don't ask me how I know 😉

Big thanks to TDS!

I'm puzzled. I have TDS GPS Manager 1.0.1.5 - I reinstalled TDS GTNXi Pro 1.3.0.0. I created a flight and loaded plan (import from file) into the 750. It also showed in the 650.

I assume that would indicate crossfit was working BUT I only have tds-gtnxi-gauge  (dated 5/18/25 in my CF.

??

Thanx

My TDS GPS Manager says it needs to be updated in RED, but I cannot figure out how to update it. My Garmin trainer is on version 20.42.2.0 and my TDS Pro Exe is on version 1.3.0.0. My TDS GPS manager is on 1.0.1.4. Any help would be greatly appreciated 😊

It's confusing. Go to the TDS website and log in to your account. There you will see the TDS pro upgrade and beneath it the TDS manager. Click only on the TDS manager and it will download the new version. Install from there and upgrade , although mine showed a downgrade !. Anyway it upgraded to the new version.
