If you are going to accuse me of the (NoXP) tag to try to make it look like I am guilty, then I will get into it and give people more details.  GoranM, I have tried to avoid you in this thread, but si

  • I suspect this is going to shatter all past Toliss sales.  Happy for us and for them.  Looking forward to the plane.

  • Their systems are about as deep as you'll see in desktop flight simulation.  Airbus is actually a commercial customer of Toliss and no, I didn't write that the wrong way around.

I can imagine the title of the thread and the reaction it would get.  (Likely not favorable).

You might be surprised! When it's released I would urge you to try MS2024 SU3. It is an astonishing piece of software. I am in awe of what Asobo have accomplished. EDIT. You might say that the flight model is everything. But that isn't true. The whole user experience is everything whatever the sim

Aerosoft video said hopefully before Christmas 2025. Well we will see and can we trust Aerosoft?

I hope Toliss is very successful with this A340-600 in MSFS, and their sales go very well.  If they are successful and make a lot of money, I wouldn't be surprised if they have more projects with MSFS in the future.

I hope there are future such collaborations between 3rd party devs, focusing on their strengths and skills sets to deliver a best-of-multiple-worlds product for the sim platform (i.e. here with Aerosoft doing the visuals and 3D modelling, Toliss doing the systems and FM).

I hope this quote from Torsten Liesk settles the discussion that Toliss is doing more than licensing their software for MSFS, they are actually developing new features for MSFS, at the 14:27 mark of the video:

To quote Torsten Liesk, he said:

At the moment, there are certain things that we are developing for the MSFS side which I do not yet want to talk about ... ...

@lwt1971, you are totally right.  It's more than just simple licensing, Toliss admitted right there at 14:27 that they are developing specific features for this MSFS release, and it's not just a simple licensing of their software.

Any word on the level of GSX integration with the A340 Pro yet?

Something iniBuilds did nicely with their A340-and I'm looking forward to piloting Aerosoft's A340 Pro.

MacBook Neo: A18 Pro with 6-core processor and 5-core graphics 8GB Unified Memory, macOS Tahoe, X-Plane 12 (12.40).

Mac mini: M4 chip with 10 core processor, 10 core graphics, 16 GB Unified Memory, 256GB SSD, macOS Tahoe, X-Plane 12 (12.40), X-Plane 11 (11.55).

Lenovo Legion 5 16IRX9: Intel Core i9-14900HX, 32GB DDR5-4800 RAM, 1TB Micron NVMe SSD, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 8 GB GPU and Intel UHD Graphics 16EU iGPU, Windows 11 Home, MSFS 2024 and 2020, X-Plane 12 (12.40), X-Plane 11 (11.55) and Lenovo LOQ 15 15IAX9: Intel Core i5-12450HX, 24GB DDR5-4800 RAM, 1TB Solidigm NVMe SSD, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2050 4GB GPU and Intel UHD Graphics 16EU iGPU, Windows 11 Home, MSFS 2024 and 2020, XX-Plane 12 (12.40), X-Plane 11 (11.55).

Alienware m15 R7: Intel Core i7-12700H, 16GB RAM, 1TB SSD, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti 8GB, Windows 11 Home, MSFS 2024 and 2020, X-Plane 12 (12.40), X-Plane 11 (11.55).

The German-language website cruiselevel.de has a summary of the interview, here's the Google translation:

Some highlights:

  • The project has already been in development for two years.
  • Toliss developed a custom flight model that operates independently of MSFS, including a custom engine model and ground handling model. It sounds as if this was newly developed for MSFS and not present in the X-Plane version of the A340-600.
  • There will be third-party integration with SimBrief, Navigraph, and Hoppie CPDLC.
