July 4, 2025Jul 4 Wow, I honestly didn’t expect Toliss to be the one developing the custom external flight model. That’s super exciting and definitely ambitious. And the fact that they collaborated with McGill University in Montreal, It shows they’re going all-in on realism. If they pull this off, it could set a whole new standard !
July 4, 2025Jul 4 My favorite is the "hair-dryer-powered" A340-300, but this looks very very promising. Keeping an eye out definitely, last time i flew an A346 was back in Wilco/FeelThere days and that really felt... bad CASE: Fractal Terra Silver CPU: AMD R5 7800X3D 5.0Ghz RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 GPU: nVidia RTX 4070 Ti SUPER · SSDs: Samsung 990 PRO 2TB M.2 PCIe · PNY XLR8 CS3040 2TB M.2 PCIe · VIDEO: LG-32GK650F QHD 32" 144Hz FREE/G-SYNC · MISC: Thrustmaster TCA Airbus Joystick + Throttle Quadrant · MSFS2024 · Windows 11
July 4, 2025Jul 4 Well it certainly seems Toliss is not doing a one-off here. They pretty much just said in this video that their aim is sim platform independence where possible/feasible, and have been working on this for two years. I'm sure they'll assess how this launch and product run goes and then decide on future MSFS endeavors. Letting Aerosoft take care of the visuals and 3D modeling and publishing while they take care of systems, flight model, etc is a win-win. But IMO, going to the trouble of fully custom FM/systems etc to be able to develop for both MSFS and XP means they have long term aspirations for MSFS. So glad two A340s are now in the works for MSFS. Just need a good developer to get moving on a high fidelity A330 🙂 Guess that likely will be Fenix and/or FSL. MSFS is a much bigger market, so if Toliss can make their code as platform independent as possible, they stand to benefit from further releases for MSFS. It's really smart of them to enter the market for MSFS, I wish them the best of luck! i5-12400, RTX 3060 Ti, 32 GB RAM

What's really weird is seeing the same person who tried to fool us into thinking a picture of real clouds was an X-Plane 12 screenshot, is suggesting someone else is chatGPT. In any case, he never suggested Toliss was leaving X-Plane. You're being way too defensive over 1s and 0s. 5800X3D. 32 GB RAM. 1TB SATA SSD. 3TB HDD. RX 9070XT.

Flight Factor did pretty much the same thing with their A320 Ultimate for XP years and years ago. At the time, it was considered to be one of the best A320's available in terms of system accuracy, etc. BUT since it was a sim-within-a-sim, it's performance was atrociously slow... Then, according to rumor, the guy responsible for it left Flight Factor and the addon floundered for awhile. They eventually got it fixed up, but it was kinda too little, too late, and I think Toliss was in the picture at that time. Now, they've been collaborating with Toliss to re-produce their A350 (from waaaay back) and IIRC, that v2 might be a Christmas or new years present. Anyhow, with this news of sim independence combined with the existing collaboration on the A350 v2 (for XP, just to clarify), I wonder if the original guy who did the FF A320 ended up jumping over to Toliss, and bringing us to this point...? Pure conjecture and curiosity on my part... 😉 Or, maybe Toliss IS that guy...? 😮

Yep that is like many folks went out there and bought the FSS 727 but in reality those aircraft have been burried in a graveyard years ago. Do flights that you like, it doesn't matter. I still enjoy my MD80 and they are mostly non existent. Edited July 4, 2025Jul 4 by JBDB-MD80

Exactly why there was no point providing full context to people like you who are quick to draw their own conclusions. Example. I never said he uses ChatGPT. I said he gives off ChatGPT vibes. I notice you never responded to the other screenshot I posted. What’s also weird is you frequenting forums of a flight sim you don’t even own, trying to persuade a change of opinion. As well as trolling. Do you want to continue? You’re already on mod approval and have a noxp tag. I don’t know what else you can accomplish. Let it go, Sherwin. It’s just 1’s and 0’s. I just landed after a 15 hour flight from LA, and a notification from you referring to a post I consider ancient history, is not what I’m looking forward to seeing after the flight. So now we can recreate all the flights we wanted to before in all its glory. Heck, I’m all in for a Virgin Atlantic “Miss Behavin” 600 into Sydney. Last flight into SYD was in 2014.

Look, I have no personal beef with you, but coming into these forums, insulting a frequent member by saying they sound like an AI and putting words into their mouth, and then virtue signaling about trolling is not a good look. I would continue, but frankly I don't care and there have been enough valid topics that have gotten locked due to derailments like the one you started in this thread. Perhaps you should consider how your written words are perceived by others in a medium that can't easily portray lighthearted sarcasm or the intent behind a message, and then ask yourself what you are accomplishing by posting these types of messages. Have a good day/morning/evening and hopefully you can enjoy some flying.
July 5, 2025Jul 5 Yeah, it only makes sense for people that run businesses to focus on growing it. Toliss isn't weird about XP the way some other devs are lol. They are being sensible and exploring a possible expansion into a new market(sim). If that works (makes more money than it cost them in time/effort), they will do more. If it doesn't, they will go back and continue to sell to XP people (I own all the Toliss planes!). Makes sense, and I for one look forward to the release. As long as Aerosoft doesn't screw it up, it will be an insta (well, one week of real reviews later) buy. 9800X3d, 4090, 64 GB DDR5 6000 RAM, 4 TB NVME (2x2), 4K Ultra + Framegen
