Indeed, and happy to see that he (with the rest of team) is always improving our beloved simulator.

Yeah, even with all AA's set to max, the shimmering in this game is not something to enjoy.

Motion vectors slated for 2026 at the most. This would hopefully introduce nativee support for DLSS4/FSR4 upscales and framegen alongside the much requested TAA.
This would be the biggest graphic engine change and the one I am really looking forward to.

Hopefully this new feature does not get delayed by some obscure Linux bug that keeps the developers super busy to make all those 8 users happy (sorry, nothing against Linux but these are Ben's words from another interview)

MSAA also does not play nicely with 12.2's clouds, so try FXAA instead. To counter the resulting blurryness, set RCAS to 100%. Works for me and is easier on the framerate to boot.

How do you know this? Laminar, to my knowledge, have released no dates. At all. Same with scenery.

Sorry but Anti Aliasing has long been figured out in every game imaginable, Based on that I don't see AA ever being properly fixed in this sim.

Hardly every but there are definitely better implementations out there. Ben clearly explains that a lot of the complaints aren't actually a result of AA. I desperately hope LR works out all the ghosting kinks in their TAA.

Friendly reminder: WHITELIST AVSIM IN YOUR AD-BLOCKER. Especially if you're on a modern CPU that can run a flight simulator well. These web servers aren't free...

Based on your post, I don't think you understood anything at all about this issue and how LR is working on it.

He did explain the shimmering is down to the lighting model.  Considering just how good the lighting in XP is, I can put up with some shimmering for a while.

You need to watch the video (again?) to understand what is being developed.

Hi,

One needs to keep in mind that Ben isn't always right!!! I believe his answers are based on what XP is trying to give users in the future and not what is and isn't possible with the base platform... if it's not on their horizon one is told it's not possible in X-Plane.

Perfect example 3D rain effect for full flight deck flyers! I was told by Ben it is "IMPOSSIBLE" to have 3D rain with my setup, so I'd take what Ben says with a large grain of salt!

This suggestion is interesting.

I have RCAS set to zero with MSAA set to x2.  For a long time now I have used sharpening in the Nvidia App set to 0.5 and ignore film grain 0.17 - this setting also available in the Nvidia control panel.  I tried this suggestion by turning off MSAA, selecting FXAA and keeping RCAS at zero.  I was expecting some blurriness, but I was surprised not to see any!

Yes, because you have to have 3D rain and wiper configuration for any aircraft at a given notice in a networked config. So no, Ben was not misleading you...

Throwing the window obj at another person is only going to be applicable to them if they also have a 737, and they conveniently have their monitors set up.
