  • It ain't the Hot Start Challenger but this thing has vnav, a (rare) but optional Auto throttle, charts, EFB, superb sounds plus fairly deep systems/avioncs.  And it looks about 20 leagues better than

  • Which ones are not working?  Anyway, just climbed out of KPDX and headed to KSAN in 2024.  Everything worked very well, no issues, navigraph worked, flight plan was easy, getting up to cruis

  • Just finished my first flight, and it was definitely worth the wait! This aircraft is awesome! The sounds, visuals, and the classic avionics all make for a great simulation. All for a totally unbeatab

I know Matt already commented on the 700 limitations in 2024 but here's something I found concerning X operation in the real world from one of the pilots who helped with FlightFX version:

That was interesting.

Anyone tried a cross takeoff yet to see if it follows his logic.

Also the rudder on the ground is completely wrong it would seem. Will have to make a major change in the config to come close and then I am not sure how it will effect it in flight

Just one guys take....for YouTube clicks. No Thanks. I don't need to watch videos by YouTubers to see what "grade" her gives this product. Not sure why people are always putting links here for YouTubers, just seems like a shameless plug for the content creator.

I own it and it works as advertised. Pretty good add-on plane for the price!

You do realise that Peter James flies executive jets for a living? He is not just some random YouTuber living in a locked bedroom. He is a real world pilot.

Don't know anything about the gentleman. Nothing negative to add either.

It's even more perplexing why a professional pilot would be commenting on a game add-on.

Don't plan on watching any of it, I don't expect any aircraft in MSFS2024 to exactly replicate any real world aircraft. They do come close in many respects but MSFS2024 just is not a simulator. It is a money generating game for Microsoft. It's on Xbox if you didn't notice.

Why are you trying to gate keep a hobby where there's real no right nor wrong way to enjoy a product?

There are some who would rather ignore the Youtube vids and jump right in head first with a new product release without watching any media or visiting a Discord about it.

For the initial experience and visuals of well...something brand new and unfamiliar to the brain. While there are some who would rather wait for a product to be reviewed by their favorite Youtuber/Pilot/Personality before jumping in.

Maybe...just maybe that Youtuber/Pilot/Personality creates even more excited about buying the product in such "techy informative study level tutorial fashion" after reading manuals?

Options and variety of such enjoyment is a good thing no?

I thought this was common sense for any mature, rational, sociable human being who can play well with others to understand?💡

Are you using 2024 or 2020?  What might be wrong on 2024 might not be wrong in 2020.

No, the flight model (aside from aforementioned 2024 center of lift bug that we're waiting on the sim for) was created in conjunction with both type-rated pilots and engineers from the manufacturer themselves, and updated by us at the same time as the avionics (and systems). It is extremely accurate, all the way down to the very real float on landing if you come in even a little hot, as well as matching book performance.

Matt is there anyway you can put in a word to get the 2024 Longitude in 2020?🤞  Since planes are being ported back it would be nice to have the cabin version in 2020.💯

EDIT: I know long shot request.😁

sorry 2024, plus wrong is a strong word.

On the ground it should be 20% rudder 80 % tiller or close to it.

I don't even need the tiller at this point the rudders are so sensitive.

We’re not allowed to play games?

Heck, I'm so old that when I learned to fly there weren't any simulators/games/PC's available to fledgling bug smasher pilots like I was. Unless you count MSFS v2.0... 🤣

If I had access to [insert modern desktop flight "game" with Hi Fi aircraft addon here], I would've become a much better pilot much sooner.

So much of what's important for IRL Piloting is eminently reproduced by modern desktop flight simulators.

Is [insert modern desktop flight "game" with Hi Fi aircraft addon here] a substitute for IRL professional training? Absolutely not.

But as part of a professionally designed and professionally administered IRL flight training program, they are absolutely, demonstrably, and incontrovertibly a suitable complement/supplement.

My favorite e.g., if a ThrustMaster Warthog HOTAS, a VR headset, and a PC running Prepar3D plus a BlackBird/MilViz addon is good enough to train IRL military aviators, it is good enough for any of us:

MSFS already has all the ingredients to play in that space. There are no technical roadblocks, only ones of infrastructure. And IMHO, it's just a matter of time until it joins the other "desktop games" like P3D/XP/DCS World in IRL training programs.

p.s.: you're also wrong about the Xbox: it's nothing more than a highly optimized Windows PC running industry standard PC hardware.

I have same feeling about rudder.  I don't think tiller work so rudder is used for both
