I also noticed that under some conditions the performance on teh Longitude can be subpar. Which is odd for a default aircraft.

The Ciation X performs better.

Wonder if that's down to the G5000 (although has been fine on my machine), whereas the X uses a massively modified version of the CJ4's PL21.

  • Which ones are not working?  Anyway, just climbed out of KPDX and headed to KSAN in 2024.  Everything worked very well, no issues, navigraph worked, flight plan was easy, getting up to cruis

  • Just finished my first flight, and it was definitely worth the wait! This aircraft is awesome! The sounds, visuals, and the classic avionics all make for a great simulation. All for a totally unbeatab

One major feature that kills this argument for the Longitude for me is the refusal to get the HUD working which allows the plane to be fully realized with all it's real world features (yes I've heard the rational some real world models don't use it but it's glaring sitting in the cockpit over your head unclickable and useless😕).  You can't compare a fully fleshed out third party effort with a default model that has no cabin/entry door and a major component in the cockpit still not working (since 2020 is still in play the cabin model needs to be in the older sim as well).  Speaking of the cabin, there's interactive features in the X cabin even the 2024 Longitude doesn't have.  These things makes it not comparable to FlightFX's Citation X.  Since Asobo is going back bringing 2024 aircraft back to 2020 the Longitude needs to be at the top of the list.  This doesn't resolve the HUD issue though as it's not working in both sims.  Perception is everything. You can have an amazing piece of music but if it's not a hit to most it goes unrecognized for the behind the scenes effort in favor of far less technical piece.

Just to be clear WT did amazing work with the default Longitude but it can't compare the X as FlgihtFX gave us everything that aircraft offers in the real world.  Pound for pound that's not the case with the Longitude and what's sad is it's so close.  The more I fly the X the more glaring this is.🤨

Good point on the HUD. I love them, so I’d rather it not be there if it won’t be made functional.

In re the Longitude vs X, I just don’t think it’s fair to compare a free Default to a payware in terms of how the Default “needs” to be improved.

Flip side of the coin: the Longitude is so good that I don’t really feel the need to buy the X, other than its IRL iconic status. 🤙

I was wondering if the Citation X is better than the default CJ4... If so, in what way?

Yes as its payware and has a lot more features to mess with. Overall really fun.

Great performance too. Everyone elses response has good ideas

This one has too many buttons and doodads for me.  Sticking to her little brother HJET.

Marwan says the 2024 update is in the works.  Can't wait.

I have been a Garmin guy since day 1 of my years in aviation. I was very hesitant about getting the C750 in view of the Honeywell Primus 2000. I have always been told that Honeywell avionics are not as intuitive as Garmin. Much to my delight, I quickly adapted to programming the FMC and flying with the various autopilot modes available via the controller. A small bit of time invested in reviewing the flight deck sections will be rewarding as this is an impressive jet for $30. Autopilot functions must work as they should without any surprises for me to recommend and generate a video on an aircraft. The flight characteristics in combination with the autopilot function and use of the flight guidance controller (FGC) are impressive. You can check out the vid (Autopilot Perfection) in my signature to see the AP put to full use in a short flight in the Citation X from Vancouver to Seattle.

The C750 is a great addition to my Bizjet hangar!🍻

Someone mentioned that the thrust reverse simulation is "limited". What exactly did they mean by that?

Not sure either. You can hear and see the reversers in action if you watch the landing in my signature video. Go to the 11:45 timestamp.

Looks and sounds OK to me 👍

You can only have full reverse thrust or no reverse thrust. Idle reverse and other intermediate settings are not possible.

Important to keep in mind that the Primus 2000 is a 25-year-old design, whereas modern Garmin avionics are much newer.

Nevertheless, for its time, the Primus 2000 was very much “state of the art”, and is still fully useable today. It was/is found in a lot of different bizjets and regional airliners, including the Lear 45, Falcon 900EX and Embraer EMB-145

@blueshark747 That looks great, think the aircraft looks so much better without winglets. That said I'm now converted to the winglet version for the performance benefit.

A lot of those buttons and doodads just stay in the NORM position. There is really not much that needs doing to be up and running. Plan on simbrief and uplink via the CDU. If you have flown with a Boeing type CDU then you will pick things up quickly. There is a couple of good tutorials on the tube to watch to fill in any blanks. A reasonable manual too. It flies very nicely and is well worth considering. The price is very good for what you’re getting.
