So how does this Citation X compare to the Citation X for P3D and FSX/FS2004?  I see there is a Citation X for P3D from Eaglesoft: https://secure.simmarket.com/eaglesoft-citation-x_extreme-2.0.phtml.  And I also see there is a Citation X from Just Flight for FSX/FS2004: https://www.justflight.com/product/citation-x.  Are there any other Citation X (other than the one for XP mentioned by JETPETER2) out there that I am missing?

How does this Citation X from FlightFX for MSFS, compare to the Citation X from P3D and FSX/FS2004?  Does anybody know?

The Wilco version (from JustFlight) doesn't even compare favourably to the ESDG version to be honest.

So far seems excellent, systems are mostly as I remember from ESDG days, modelling, texturing & sounds are excellent, labelled clickspots just under the glareshield for HDG/ALT/CRS which is good to have due to where those controls are in the actual aircraft. Only issues I had were a) finding the parking brake (must have used keypresses for the ESDG one) and b) Thrust Reversers not working - will change my bindings for the next flight.

Out of the 4 versions I have tried (This, Wilco, ESDG & XP) - this is by far the best graphically, and at worst matches the systems on the ESDG. Probably needs a couple of flights to see if I can find any issues, but for £28 it's a steal !!

  • Which ones are not working?  Anyway, just climbed out of KPDX and headed to KSAN in 2024.  Everything worked very well, no issues, navigraph worked, flight plan was easy, getting up to cruis

  • Just finished my first flight, and it was definitely worth the wait! This aircraft is awesome! The sounds, visuals, and the classic avionics all make for a great simulation. All for a totally unbeatab

It's pretty amazing and surprisingly easy to hand fly although you really feel the weight of her coming in to land which is a bit intimidating at first. I just did KSDL to KPSP and back this morning. Minor performance hit perhaps but I upgraded my Nvidia drivers first thing so maybe that was as a result of clearing/rebuilding caches etc.

But yes, amazing value and a keeper for sure.

That's just it...  it's a heck of a lot of addon for 30 bucks.

There are some paints coming out too - for 2024/2020 available here in the "ugly" Other category hehe (until flightsim.to decides to make a new category)

Coming from someone with experience, i guess this is all i needed to hear...er... read :)

Gonna go and buy it!

Sounds like even when its compared to the Eaglesoft (ESDG?) version, this FlightFX version is better, overall, than the Eaglesoft version? By overall, that would include systems, graphics, etc, everything considered in total, overall.

That would make this FlightFX version of the Citation X, the best Citation X version ever released?

I bought it straight away within mins of it being released because I have confidence in Flight FX… top notch 👍 this aircraft will bring me back into FS24, I don’t fly airliners much I fly one plane 90% of the time and that of course is Hotstart Challenger in XP12 and the aircraft is thee best out of them all and you can’t compare this plane to the CL60 but I did two flights in the Citation last night I think it is absolutely fantastic, the sounds, the feel of it and like you say …for the price it is good value for money… I’ll be parking the CL60 in the hanger for a while I think 😄👍🛫

Pity they only sell through market place.

This. I really hate such "locked-up" environments. Can't configure stuff, can't remove unwanted liveries, etc.

Already had a bad experience with the ATR but oh well, sometimes it is the only option.

If it is the only option then I am happy to do it, especially in 2024 where it is streamed. This one is definitely worth holding your nose for.

And it's like 30 bucks...

It's FAR from low end and also not even medium end....medium is like iniBuild.

ESDG! There's a blast from the past!

That's a yes from me.

Starting from C & D the main flight instruments PFD & MFD do not become active ie "PD Fail" and "HDG FAIL". Even after I have started the engines. They do if I use the start in Taxi mode/state though. I have the nav unit below the throttle in "align " mode but it doesn't have any affect, but it does say "battery fail" when everything is on. I note that some have already taken this bird for a fly, but did they start it  C & D ? What switch am i missing ?

Totally different planes but kinda?  It's more detailed I'd say.  The sounds are better in the C750 (but FSW has made known that their Boris sounds are in beta testing for the Lear)

This is going to sound like I am an A**S, but I've bought so many and so many I don't use.

Plus , I know so little about business Jets.

How would it compare to the SWS PC12 or TBM 850

Just trying to get a handle on it.

Should be happy about the price, but its also a little scary. Wondering what is missing.

It sure looks pretty!

As a package I'd have to agree with that, it's all really well done. I'd rate it as FlightFX's best work. Which in turn for me puts it as the best business jet for MSFS.

Considering they've all the work they've done to build the systems it was very stable, found no major issues with it. Need time for a few more flights.....

Stab in the dark, I'd guess you missed the standby power? Also just put the switches straight to NAV.
