Because they failed to do this most basic thing during initial pre-release, hoping this now means that when I load into VR it tells me I'm loading MSFS2024 not 2020...! August 9, 2025Aug 9 This beta is astonishing. I bow low to Asobo! In terms of value for money, performance and eye candy Its the best piece of software I've ever bought.
August 9, 2025Aug 9 What about third-party add-ons like Fenix, PMDG, iFly Max, FSLabs aircraft, Beyond ATC, Navigraph tools, Mobiflight Connector, Contrail, and Orbx apps? In the case of a clean MSFS 2024 installation, will they work without any issues? I assume that if I install the simulator using the same file name and in the same custom folder location, everything should function as before. Also, I’ve been trying to back up the WASM folder along with all custom camera views from the LocalCache and LocalState directories, but as usual, I’m running into permission restriction issues. Thanks! You cannot install the msfs2024 ‚using the same filename’. And do not try to copy/paste anything from msfs2020 apart from the custom folder, it will not work.
