EDIT: not sure why prior A2A fans aren’t jumping on this one?

It’s MSFS 2024 only, otherwise I would.

It's become my favorite GA cross country machine in the sim.  Perfect mix of classic panel with modern capabilities, implemented in exactly the fiddly way you see this done 😉.  Fast enough to get plac

  • Total agreement Bert. A2A "early access" is better than many RTRM offerings. I'm loving it!

It's not so ugly from the driver's seat. In fact it's kinda purty . 😁

I was lukewarm about it when it was very first released but it is already one of the best addons of all time for me now, and it just keeps getting better.

It's 2024 only and I'm still on 2020, otherwise I'd be on it in a heartbeat.  I expect there're quite a few others who love A2A, but haven't made the 2024 move yet.

Exactly. A2A could produce one of these,

What is 'one of those'?

What a shifty little plane

😁😁😁😁😁😁😁

One of the best planes ever produced for MSFS and it's still in beta.

A Farman F.120/F.4X 'Jabiru' - one of a family of aircraft designed by Henri Farman in the 1920s. For some strange reason, one of my favourite aircraft from history.☺️

To be fair, in my humble opinion, the Aerostar doesn't 'look right'. I'm not saying it doesn't fly right, who am I to have an opinion on that? I'll go as far as to say it looks 'interesting

EDIT: I forgot to say I love it. It's absorbing.

😅😅 Only in his dreams!

Seriously, though, Henri was trying to do so many things that were beyond the materials, engine power and fuel octane of the time. He's one of my aviation heroes, in a way. 😉

Yes - it's certainly interesting. From above, it looks like a 'cut and shut' of two completely different aircraft. No doubt it's great to fly, however. 🙂

Flew her out of San Diego for a VFR flight. Kept the wheels down so the speed was just right.

Took in the sights and landed at Miramar.

That was cool.

Course now I am stuck there. For some reason they will not let me leave.

I mean, I bought Prepar3D for the sole purpose of flying the T-38C Talon!

Where's your dedication, man...?!?

(i'm kidding. About the dedication part. 🙂)

I know, right.  I'm such a slacker!

Seriously, I'd buy 2024 and start trying things out but I'm afraid my creaky old 8G graphics card would choke.  And 2020 is running SO well for me right now, so...  Slacker city.

Would love to be trying out the Aerostar though (he said, bringing things back on topic)!  Being A2A, the early access part doesn't bother me a bit.

What's wrong with installing big brother?  You know that you will someday.  😁

Wait for SU3.

aerostar that equally isn't my thing

Fair enough, but the A2A Aerostar 600 is a twin, reasonably fast, and NOT easy to fly (for me anyway) … still can’t seem to land well without the aircraft veering off to the left with a slight cross wind.

Gotta manage the engines, can really have fun with range and fuel management.

It’s by far the best piston twin I have in my collection and keeps me coming back and interested.

The realistic steering was worky, but latest updates 0.9.8, I seem to be having more issues with using realistic steering.

But I have zero experience in a real 600 so have no clue, but enjoy learning along the way.

Visual modeling is stunningly realistic … perhaps a little too clean for an aircraft of this age.

Much prefer turboprops over pistons I'm afraid!
